On our way home we stopped and saw our friends the Haretukus. They now live in Spanish Fork. We had to get our baby fix and meet cute little Jasmine. As you can tell Jaida was a baby hog and couldn't stop smooching those little cheeks. We are grateful for such good friends. It was great to see them.

Utah Trip
We had a great time while we were in Utah. Papa played some competitive games of Farkle. There was much fun, laughter and screams coming from that table.
Brock enjoyed hanging out with his Mini-Me Jase and we enjoyed a yummy lunch at Chick-fil-A and saw the movie Big Hero 6.
Tessie-loo and Jaida had a great time playing together. Papa jumped in on this picture and the girls had the funniest faces. They were having a hard time saying goodbye.
As we were trying to make it out the door, the boys decided to have an impromptu leaf war. They had so much fun doing this and of course Papa had to join in the fun. And when I say fun he brought out the trash can and a rake and was trying to get them to clean up the leaves. haha..
And as we drove away to go back home our cute cousins ran after our car screaming... DON'T LEAVE. Until next time Utah!

Turkey Time
I love being with family during the holidays and it certainly is a huge perk when your dad is a chef! Our Thanksgiving dinner was absolutely divine. I am so lucky to have this guy as my dad. He is an amazing person inside and out. He would give the shirt off his back to help you out (In fact I have seen him do this very literally). He loves his grandkids and loves to play hard with them (almost always someone ends up getting hurt with Papa's crazy ideas). We love him so much

Utah Trip
For Thanksgiving this year we decided to go to Utah to see the Barker Family. We stopped on the way to see Trent's friend Derek and tour the new Younique facility. We had a great time catching up even though it was short and sweet. It was good to see old friends. Now trying to get a decent picture with our kids proved to be the biggest challenge of the day!

Pierce's Quilt
Pierce decided that he wanted to learn how to sew. I had already cut out a lot of these jean squares and i thought this would be a great project for him to take on. He started just 4 days ago and today finally finished this quilt. He was so happy and so proud that he accomplished it. I was proud that he didn't give up. He sleeps with it almost every night since. Way to go Pierce

A good Brother
Have been so blessed with Pierce as a big brother to Brock. He is patient, kind and loving most the time. Pierce saved up his money from his Birthday and decided to go and buy this chess set. He then spent the day teaching Brock how to play. It was fun to hear his way of describing how to play to his brother and watching him as he patiently showed him how to make the right moves. He even let him win the first game. Thank you Pierce for being such a great example to your siblings. I know that it is hard sometimes being the oldest. Love you

tuckered out
This little girl still for some reason cannot figure out that sleeping is for the night time and not for during the day. I am slowly turning into a zombie! I am so tired everyday and wish she should figure this out sooner than later. At least she is cute!

Loungin'
Who needs a cozy bed when you can make your own with a laundry basket? Cute cuddly girl. I love her so very much.
Aren't I lucky?
I bet you that you don't have a water bottle full of potato bugs on your counter waiting to go into a lizard trap... Yup I am pretty lucky. When Brock sets his mind to something he gets it done!
kids art
One thing I love as a mom is watching my kids brains work. Pierce sat down a the table tonight and created this cute little turkey. It made my mommy heart so happy. He was proud of his work and hung him properly right by our front door. I love being a mom.

uh-oh
So we had our cousins over, Tyden and Hadlee, and we were out in the yard playing. The kids were having a really good time playing football in the backyard. I started throwing Gracie a bumper and playing fetch. She was loving it. I threw the bumper just as Brock was running to catch a pass. Gracie ran full speed into his knee and took him out. I knew by the sound of his scream it was bad. I felt horrible. Brock wouldn't walk on it and was complaining of how bad it was hurting. sigh. Luckily since Trent works at the Childrens hospital we were able to get in to the orthopedic the next morning. The good news is that it wasn't torn or broken anywhere, but it did have a bruise on the bone. He gets to wear this breach for the next 3 weeks. Sorry Brock!
We sure were glad to have our cousins over though.

today was a good day
Today I was having a great mom day. I was able to teach Pierce how to sew. We had a great time together. He really liked it. At one point he turned to me and said," Now I know why you like this so much, it is so much fun!" I am glad he enjoyed it. We are making a jean quilt together.
Brock was really wanting to make dinner for the family. We worked on making tacos. I loved seeing how excited he was about preparing each thing for dinner. In the end our dinner was super yummy!

Hunting boys
Trent took the boys to go out duck hunting. This time they got lucky and were able to score a pretty nice blind to sit in. They weren't very lucky as far as shooting any duck, but Brock convinced Trent to shoot a coot. They had fun even though they were skunked out!
Brock was obsessed with holding and showing everyone the dead coot. I thought it was so yucky, but he was so proud and happy!

Barker Park- Howard Family Reunion
We finally made our destination of Barker Park. Boy were we glad to get out of the car! That was NOT FUN at all. The kids were excited to see their cousins and Grandparents. We had an awesome time camping out and enjoying family time.
Barker Park is like a wonderland for kids. So much for them to see and do. So many memories made their. I am so grateful for my Great Grandpa Barker and for his legacy that lives on at this place.
