Why does exercise have to be so HARD.....

So I have been trying to get back into shape lately. Not so easy. I absolutely hate working out. I have often wondered why it has to be so dang hard? Why can't it be just as easy as eating a decadent chocolate cake or a dozen oreos? Yummy now I am hungry! I love sweets. I just can't ever say no to dessert and I have absolutely no self control when it comes to chocolate. I mean what is the difference if I have the entire bag of chocolate covered almonds versus a few? I am going to feel bad either way but at least I enjoyed every last minute of it! Okay now I am just rambling right.. This blog post has absolutely no importance, but for me to get out these feelings! Anyways, I am trying to be good so that I can reach my goal of coming out of retirement and run the SLC half marathon again this year. Man I am only on week number two of training and complaining already! I need to snap out of it! BLAH!

...Weekend in Sunny St. George...

This past weekend we took a much needed trip down to Sunny St. George. I must say I know what the big draw is for the old folks! Man the weather was nice. We were living it up man. The sun was shinning and it was in the sixties. I was bustin' out the Capris and shot sleeve shirts! We had such a fun time down there. We left Thursday afternoon and made it there just in time for a lovely dinner at the In and Out Burger! YUMMY! I absolutely love that place! It is a good thing we don't have one here around the corner or I would be in big trouble. Their Chocolate shakes and fries call my name! Brock was in heaven with a chocolate shake... you would have to pry it out of his cold dead fingers just to get a sip! Man he had a death grip on that thing! We spent Friday out in the elements enjoying every minute of it. Swimming, running, playground, tennis court you name it! Pierce woke up Friday morning with an ear ache... so we did spend a good portion of our morning at the Doctors office.. he had a double ear infection! Thank goodness for good health insurance, sure seems like I live at the Dr.'s office! We keep them in business.
We were staying at Trent's uncle Pete's condo there it sure was nice. We were joined later by Trent's cousins Brad and Aimee and their 4 kids. Also Cory, Trent's Brother, and his girlfriend Calee came from San Diego. We had such a fun time together. Friday night we went out to dinner with our friends Joe and Ashley to Outback. They are such a fun couple. Trent and I both get along with them so well, that is a rarity to find a couple where you intermingle so well. Our dinner was pretty hectic with 4 kids and 4 adults... especially my kids! Wow folks we were struggling! Saturday we went and watch the race and then went over to Joe and Ashley's for a Yummy lunch, she made Cafe Rio type food..yum! Pierce and their little boy Jordan were playing so good together.. they would cry whenever one of them had to leave. As we left their house this day, I was telling Pierce to say, " Peace out dude!", he did we laughed and then Ashley told Jordan to say to Pierce" See ya later ,Dogg!" Pierce then with out skipping a beat said, "see ya Clifford, you big red dog!" Hilarious! Ashley and I were laughing so hard! Funny kid! Later that night Cory serenaded us with his guitar! He is amazingly talented and so is Calee. They both have such wonderful voices!

Sunday we went to church. Not so good. Pierce pooped his pants during the sacrament (the medicine for his ear infections was messing up his bowels), Brock didn't even make it through sacrament. Good memories. We went to a fun park and climbed on the big red rocks. This was neat, but reminded me of my fear of heights! I was so nervous. Pierce kept cheering me on and when I would make it to the top he would say", I told you that you could do it mama!" At least he believed in me!

Monday we took one last dip in the pool and then Trent just had to hit the Jack in the Box on the way out of town so he could get his Taco fix! I don't know what it is with him and those tacos! All in all we had a great trip. Pierce didn't want to come home. He kept saying just leave me here! It was so nice just to get away and have Trent all to ourselves. Families are so great! I love mine!

Cute pics in the pool.. Pierce was way more brave in the water this time!

I think this one is pretty funny!

Primary Childrens and Pink Eye

Honestly does that place clean their toys and waiting rooms? Every time we go there we come home with some sort of illness. After the last time we were there and contracted Rotovirus we were even more anal about keeping our kids hands clean and watching their every move. I think we went through an entire bottle of the hand sanitizer while we were there this last time. But to our dismay Pierce came back with PINK EYE! Yuck! It is so gross! I just hope that he is the only one who gets it! We are keeping our fingers crossed! Today it spread to the other eye.. yay!
On a more positive note we found out that Brock's Ears were doing great. His tubes are working just wonderfully. We were very excited!

Happy Birthday TBIRD!

Well today is my cute husbands birthday! He is turning the big 33. It is such a special day for him because he has waited 33 years for this day. Why you ask? Because today is his 33rd birthday the same number as his all time favorite basketball players jersey number #33 Larry Bird. What a momentous occasion! I hope that today brings him what he has been waiting for for 33 years or he surely will be disappointed! Here is why I love my Tbird.... (just so you know this is only a few, I don't want to be held liable for leaving any reasons out... the joys of being married to a lawyer!)
1. Tbird is always good for a laugh. He is hilarious. He makes me laugh so hard.
2. Tbird loves, loves, loves Facebook and meeting up with all of all his"Friends!" This makes me laugh!
3. Tbird loves to watch extreme fighting with me and shhh.. don't tell even a chick flick every now and then.
4. He is the Best dad in the whole wide world. No wonder they like him way more than me! I do call him DISNEYLAND DAD!
5. He loves to eat just like me... I am glad I have a partner in crime with me. We love trying new things and going out to eat. Outback is our favorite place!
6. He is 7 yes.. 7 years older than me. Do the math.. you'll figure out how old I am. We are a good combo. I actually feel like I am his age most of the time. Except when he wants to go to bed at 8:30 and I am like are you kidding me!
7. He is a stud... what can I say I married a handsome guy!
8. Tbird loves to be cozy... also nice because I am the same. We love a good blanket and a movie.
9. He has always dreamed of a sports room... he loves sports memorabilia. It cracks me up!
10. He is a hard worker. Heck we have a house because of him. We all know I wasn't the one putting sweat equity into this! This is a great trait to have.
11. He loves to Serve others. He is always looking for ways to help others. I love this about him!
12. TBIRD lives for his friends. I have never met anyone with so many BEST FRIENDS! Seriously and he keeps in touch with all of them. He also is accumulating new ones all them time.
13. Most of all he loves me even when most of the time I am a crabby wife and just party all day at home with out him! I can't believe he really has put up with me for this long. Sure do love ya TBIRD. even though you probably won't even read this.Hope you have the best BIRTHDAY Larry Bird #33! Love you!

Lots of snow...

Pierce.. Tryting to pose for me.
Lumpy is always good for a cute smile. Camera hog. If Pierce gets in the picture he will try and push him away!

CHEESE!

Throwing Snowballs! Loves the snow!

Bundled up!

So these past few days have just been over loaded with snow! It hasn't been too bad especially if you don't try and go out in it! Trent had an awful time coming home in it last night and it took me an hour and a half to get to work 6 miles away! I was an hour late. Not so fun! But me and the boys did have lots of fun playing in it earlier in the day! Well, I was more shoveling our huge driveway while they were playing in it. Brock was so bundled up he could hardly move, whenever he fell down he really couldn't get back up so he would just cry for me to come pick him back up. It reminded me of the Christmas story when that kid falls and says I have fallen and I can't get up!He also learned a very important lesson about keeping his gloves on his hands. he touched the cold snow with his bare hands and he was screaming! Funny! Pierce was in Heaven, he did not want to come back inside. Our neighbors Liam and Gavin were out and they were having snowball fights and climbing on top of our towers of snow!
This morning we had joyschool at Tates house... I am a loser mom and forgot my camera. They had a pajama party and all took their favorite Christmas toy. It was fun to have them tell about their toys. Isaac was so cute he got an Ironman action figure. And the way he described it was hilarious! Kids are so funny. Pierce was so excited to go today he really has been talking about it for like a week.
I also forgot to post that my cute Pierce is now in Primary. Sunday was his first day of being a Sunbeem. He did so good and stayed the whole time. I was so glad... because I really have been so worried that he wouldn't respond well to this change, because change really throws Pierce off. He just goes into freak mode. A few weeks ago Trent rearranged the appliances in the kitchen, namely the toaster and this sent Pierce over the edge. For days he cried for us to move it back. He was so stressed out. Anyways, he was quite fond of the Bottoms and Brother Billings, but he liked his new teachers. When I picked him up on Sunday I asked him how Sunbeems was and he replied" I was a little bit scared, but I am REALLY hungry!" He figured out that Snack time was NO MORE!
