Father and Sons Camp out

This past weekend the boys all headed up to Patapsco State Park for the annual Father and Sons Camp out. They were lucky and got to have Brown Papa join them on the big night. They started out with a fun dinner at the local Arby's, Yes we go all out for these events.
After dinner they picked up Papa and headed over (about 4 miles) to the State park. They set up camp and enjoyed the company of the other ward members that were there. They had fun playing baseball and catching a football.
Trent and the boys were able to sleep out in the tent, we only have a 2 man tent. Time for an upgrade. So poor Papa had to spend the night in a makeshift bed in the back of our mini-van.
The next morning of course the kids woke up at the crack of dawn. They had a pancake breakfast. Trent, Papa, and the boys set out on an adventure to go fishing. First they fished on the river and then headed over to a nearby lake.
Trent got skunked.. Papa and the boys caught quite a few. Brock was really excited to catch a "dead" fish. He caught it and then it died. Papa took it home to eat. Pierce liked when they found a "boxer" turtle. But didn't get to see its head, because it was hiding from them. Do you blame it?
As you can tell they had a great time together and was just what they needed. They can hardly wait until next year.
Maybe by then they will have a bigger tent? These boys sure do love their Daddy.

Curly Girly

So this post is mainly just so I can remember how stinkin' cute her hair was. She really has the perfect little head of hair. I am so glad because there was once a time when I was worried that it wasn't going to EVER grow back after they shaved it off in the hospital. I think that she deserves it!
The humidity does make it go pretty wild and curly. I definitely can tell a difference on those steamy sauna days. It just has a mind of its own some days!
Sorry a little picture over load, but I really think it is adorable. I am afraid that once it starts growing longer it will lose its curl.

I love this picture of her and Pierce it almost looks like she is looking at him a little bit irritated because he was trying to steal the camera.
She does love him though. She is pretty possessive about her time with mom or dad! I am waiting for when she starts to speak. I have a feeling that one of her first lines might be "Back Off!!!"

Guess Who..

Took her first steps yesterday??? This Big girl did! She took 5 steps all by herself, as soon as we noticed she sat down and has yet to do it again! She is a stinker I guess. She is so ready to just take off, but like everything else she is on her own little time table. We are so proud of our little Jaida!

Mother's Day 2011

I am proud to be a mom! Well most days. This year was a great mothers day. My favorite breakfast cereal and some flowers. Pierce made me a very special pin at school and Brock made me a potted candy flower bouquet. I love my kids. I am glad they all put up with me.
After church I was treated to a very special Mother's day meal at the mission home. Brent made steak, mac and cheese (homemade), baked potatoes. Trent made a yummy green salad and a chocolate cake for dessert. Thanks for another great year.
I am so thankful for my mom for teaching me how to be a good mom. I am so lucky to also call her my best friend. I love you mom. Now I understand why you were always feeling like you were GOING NUTS!!!
