11 Months old

Jaida is now 11 months old. In the last week she has FINALLY become mobile. I say that partially excited. Because one, I am super excited that she has reached her milestone after so much hard work in physical therapy. On the other hand I am not thrilled. I am quickly learning how much I need to baby proof my house. I mean there is not much that damage she could really do, but she can make messes! One of her favorite things to do is scoot her self over to Gracie's Pillow and pet her. I say pet, but really it consists of her yanking her ears and fur. Good thing Gracie is such a patient dog. She pretty much likes any attention, even if she has to endured through some pain to get it!
The other thing she is naturally drawn to is the movies on the shelf and books too. She can get them all down with in a matter of minutes. Then she gives you the sweetest face, irresistible, that is almost as if she is saying, "Did I do something wrong? You mean you didn't want me to take all these off the shelf?"
Her hair continues to grow. It is growing over her ears and it has a little curl to it. It is too cute!
Jaida still has no teeth. She is still on oxygen at night (technically, because she always pulls it off). She sleeps like a peach. She says Mamamama and Dadadadada and she always says MMmmmm and HEY!
She is always making us smile. She is happy and so easy to love. Her nick names are: Jaida Love, Jaida Bug, Missy moo, Lovey, Jaidy Lady. She loves her brothers. She light up when she sees Pierce especially! He can almost always make her laugh.
Her favorite thing to do and she is getting really fast/ good at it is to pull herself up on the couch. She pulls herself up, but isn't quite sure how to get back to sitting. So once she gets tired she just kind of complains until one of us comes over and puts her back down. We have one little stair that separates our dining area from our family room and she loves to climb up that stair. You can tell when she accomplishes it she is really proud of herself. We can hardly believe that we are just a month away from her 1 year birthday! WE love you sweet baby girl!

Get Moving

Jaida has been in physical therapy since about the time she was 4 months old. She started out going twice a week and then down to just once a week. She had pretty bad torticollis (neck tilt) and some low muscle tone issues. She has made some major improvements in the last few months. Today marked the day that she "graduated" from therapy. It was a bittersweet moment because throughout this entire time we have been so lucky to have Ms. Andrea as her therapist. She has truly become like one of the family. The boys loved to go and visit her. She always found ways to make them feel special and make sure that they had a good time.
She put up with their sometimes crazy behavior and introduced them to so many new things. She taught them new games and told them about new books. She listened to their wacky stories. Sometimes it was just as important for them to see her as Jaida. Jaida absolutely ADORES Andrea. When she would see her coming down the hall way she would light up and practically dive toward her once she was close. Jaida would often shower Andrea with hugs and loves. When Andrea would "push" her to try something new Jaida would complain and often would try and find a way to get out of it usually by trying to give her hugs. It was really neat to see the bond that they had together. I know Jaida will miss her.
I am also going to miss Andrea. For the past 7 months, she has been my constant. I always knew that I would be able to see her and have someone to talk to. Whether it was just about mundane things or the hard things with Jaida's health. I always knew She would listen. Tuesday mornings were always something we looked forward to. I admit I cried all the way home and was so sad. There were also tears of joy for the progress that she helped make possible. I will forever be grateful to her. Thank you Andrea for your love, support, listening ear, and being simply amazing in my book!

Nothing much to report

Seems like life has just been passing us by with not a whole lot to report. Sometimes that is good though. The boys are growing bigger and bigger everyday. Pierce is growing out of his clothes and shoes again. That kid is a beast I tell you. He is a big kid, super tall. He has a bottomless pit that makes me worry for when he is a teenager! He is always hungry! He goes through these phases where he kind of bulks up and then he grows tall. The other day I was telling Trent how Pierce was getting a belly, I didn't think pierce was paying attention. The next day when I asked Pierce what he wanted for lunch he said," Mom I think I better have a salad, I heard you tell dad that I was getting a belly!" OOOPs! Gotta watch what I say!
Jaida is doing well. She is getting more creative on how to get around it is usually a combo of rolling and army crawling. She loves music and dancing!
I got a new calling. I am the first counselor in my Relief Society. I am getting busier! I am really nervous!

We signed Brock up for Preschool next year. He is really excited and will be going to the preschool Pierce is currently in. He is growing like a weed too, still pretty little though! He still has his little munchkin voice too. Today in the car after dropping off Pierce at school we passed a lady who had hit a deer. He said," look mom, that lady hit and killed a deer, it's not hunting season!" He is always cracking us up.

Trent is busy with work. He got his 1 year review and scored above average! WAY to GO Tbird! We were really happy for him! He is the Priest quorum advisor, they love him.
Life is good. We can't wait until spring and better yet summer so we can hit the beach!

Go Cougars

This is little Jaida in her BYU cheerleader outfit. Actually it was my little sister Whitney's when she was a baby, but she has now gone over to the dark side (Utah Fan). She informed us that her and her husband Camron would probably just burn it. I took it off their hands and put it to good use!

And doesn't she just look so dang cute!

Seems like in the last week she is growing up really fast. She loves to dance and bob her head around. She has learned to shake her head NO! When we tell her no she grunts back at us. She loves to sit and turn (pivot) in circles on her bum. She says "daddadadada" a lot now. She has found her high pitch squeal. She loves to see what is going on all around her. She has done an army crawl once or twice. She can go from laying to sitting on her own now. She tries to pull herself up on things. I think that she just might get up someday and start walking and just skip the whole crawling thing. She is starting to figure out how to defend herself against her brothers. If they come to close she smacks them in the face or pulls their hair. She is starting to not like baby food anymore.... but still has NOT ONE tooth! She has a new found love for goldfish crackers. She isn't big on anything sweet. We love our little Jaida Love.

Swimming

This last Saturday we took the kids over to the indoor pool here in Laurel. They have been having withdrawals from the beach, so we thought this might do the trick. Brock was really excited because he could touch the bottom of the pool and could walk around to most places! He was a little more afraid of the water than usual. I really need to sign the boys up for swimming lessons soon.

They all had a really good time. The water was warm and perfect for kids.

Pierce worked on going under the water, he typically is terrified of that. By the time we were ready to leave he was going under with no problem. He was pretty proud of his new trick.

Pardon me in the picture.. my white legs might be a little blinding.

Jaida was a little fish. She loves the water and was splashing around and laughing. She was so excited. Now if the summer will please come so we can go to the beach!
