A boy and his Worm

This week we have been outside gardening.. well, more like weeding! I have been showing Pierce all the new insects and spiders. He is fascinated with them. Today we were out again and we found a worm. He carried around for like 2 hours talking to it and playing with it. He would say things like,"Hey, buddy are you alright?" and "Can I get you some dirt to eat." The funniest by far though is when he took it over to his swingset and put it on one side of the teeter-totter and then he got on the other side and started going.. I heard him ask the worm," Are you enjoying the ride buddy?" I was laughing out loud! I had to convince him to put it away and that we couldn't keep it as a pet. Who needs a dog when you got a worm right?

Sunday Ritual

So as most of you probably already know we love to go and feed the ducks at Weber State on Sunday evenings. It helps us to get the boys out and release some energy. I also think it is great because it is so quiet there. Here are some pictures from the last trip!

Happy Easter.. a little bit late

This year we went to the wonderful Clearfield Easter egg hunt. The boys had a blast. They both got tons of eggs and inside some of the eggs is a ticket to choose a prize. They both were very lucky and got one. Pierce got some sweet water guns. Brock got this cute little stuffed bunny. The entire thing only lasted like a minute and a half, but it is so well organized. I think this will be a long standing tradition!
Here they are getting ready for the egg hunt. They both were so excited!

Okay so what is Easter without a million pictures! Really and not one of them are they both cooperating.. so you get the idea here. They didn't want me take their picture!

Pierce yelling at me to stop!
Brock's evil eye!
Of course on Sunday we went to my parent's house after church to eat some yet again yummy food. My dad is amazing, what can I say! Before the big shindig all began , my mom had her annual Easter egg hunt. The boys were super excited, and so are the parents, because these eggs are filled with money. Dax got the grand prize this year but Pierce and Brock did get a combined effort of $7.50! All in all it was a great one! Loved seeing family and being together. So grateful to be in a great family!

things to remember..

So this post is mostly for my memories.. so I won't forget these things that have been going on lately. This morning when I got out of the shower Pierce was yelling,"Hey mom, come check it out!" He was in the kennel with Gracie. He absolutely loves his dog. He calls her, "My little sweetie!" Cute!
A couple of days ago I sent Brock into the bathroom to go potty. I went to go check on him to see how it was going and this is what I found! I think he has been learning some things from his daddy!

This is Gracie during conference.. She is quite a LAZY dog. She sleeps all the time. The other day I took her and the boys on a 3 mile walk and she gave up about the 1st mile and jumped into the stroller. What a sight that was, I am sure, a lady pushing a double stroller with two boys and a lazy puppy! She is starting to grow on me a little!
This last weekend was fun also because Trent's dad and brother Brady and Braxton came down for conference. They all went to priesthood together, Elias too, and had their traditional pie afterwards. The girls went out to The Pizza Factory... Pierce and Brock both crying their bloody heads off because they wanted to stay home.. go figure! Pierce was crying because he didn't want to do with the girls, because he is a boy! He didn't understand why he didn't get to go with them.

SO proud of my Lump

So most of you know how freaking cute my little Lumpy is. I truly cannot get enough of him. He is getting so big lately and talking so much. My new favorite thing that he does is boss our new puppy Gracie around. Telling her "no,no" or "Be Quite" or " Gracie kennel, NOW!" It is really so cute. Also if you know my Lumpy you know that he absolutely hates wearing clothes. He is constantly taking them off. And you can just forget him wearing any sort of diaper if it has the slightest bit of pee in it. So my cute neighbor, Jamie, who is supermom to me. Was picking up on these signals. She brought over a little potty.. since Brock is way too short to reach our toilets... and it was love at first sight. That first night he went pee in it 3 times. I was in heaven. The next morning he went poop all by himself yay! So he is definitely interested! It is not consistent yet.. but I am so proud of him. Thanks Jamie, you really are the best!
