Funny Lumps

Here is a funny thing Brock said the other day:
I picked him up from Nursery on Sunday and asked him," How was your class today?" He looked at me and said (in his little munchkin voice)," Well, a little kid pushed me over, and I said What the Heck!" He is so freakin' funny sometimes! I love my lumps!

More snow Pictures..

After the first storm we got the heck out of dodge as soon as possible. We dug out our car and high-tailed it to the mission home to stay with Trent's parents. We were expecting another foot in a couple of days and didn't want to risk going with out heat again! Luckily we had them to run to.
The boys were sure excited to get out and finally play in the snow. They really could not stop laughing.

Picture of the snow.. clear up to the mailbox!
The Mission home. Unfortunately it hadn't been plowed yet. We made Gracie run back and forth like 10 times to make us a pathway! One good reason to have a dog!
After it was plowed they enjoyed playing on the mountains of snow in Gramsie and Papa's house!

Snow storm of the CENTURY

WE SURVIVED! Do we have impeccable timing or what? We move out to Baltimore in hopes of a break from the usual snow in Utah, to come to their "Mild Winters". Are you kidding me? What are the chances that we arrive just in time for Snowageddon! In typical winter they usually get 12-18 total inches for the entire winter. This year blew all their records out of the water we have gotten over 80 inches already!
A picture of the calm after the storm. Trent couldn't resist taking a picture of this beautiful sunset.

The boys out in the snow, they wanted so badly to go out and play in it. Unfortunately, we didn't let them because we were without power. We had no idea when it would come back on. We were already cold in our house and I knew if they went out and got too cold we would be in big trouble. But we had to get a couple pictures of them outside.
Love the looks on their faces in this picture! They were so excited!

To give you and idea of just how deep it was. We got about 3 feet of snow in about 24 hours. It is incredible.

A view from our front yard. The cars were so buried you could hardly tell some of them were even cars. It took Trent all day to dig out our front pathway. Our van was totally covered and that took another day to dig out. Trent's car was nowhere to be found! You literally couldn't even tell where it was. That took another day.
Poor Gracie.. ha,ha. We let her out to go potty. She gave us a look like,"um, yeah how would you like me to do that?" She pretty much got buried when she went out. She loved running around in it. She finally figured out how to dig herself a hole and go to the bathroom.

A view out our back sliding door to our deck. Completely covered in snow!
Our back door. It was taller than Lumpy!
We learned our lesson with this storm. Be more prepared. We were without power for 24 hours. Luckily it was only that long. By the end of the night we were starting to get really cold. I managed to dig through boxes during the day and found one flashlight, and a few candles. We had cold cereal and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. That night we all were bundled up in warm clothes and beenies. All four of us, under about 7 blankets in Trent and I's bed trying to keep warm. The boys thought it was fun! Boy were we excited to hear the heater kick on!

Bird Watching

The boys have been fascinated with the birds since we have moved here. This is a female Cardinal.
This is a male Cardinal.
They truly are amazing. They have also seen Orioles, and Blue jays. The blue jays are really big and beautiful. I have yet to get a picture of one of those. The boys cannot stop talking about how bad they really want a bird feeder. Pierce calls blue jays "blue berries"!

Maggie Moos

After a crappy moving day, we thought we deserved a nice treat. What is better than Maggie Moos? The boys have found a new love thanks to Whitney and Camron! Best of all they even have them back east and there is one just around the corner from our new house.
Pierce was Camron's shadow for the last week that we were in SLC. Camron was so patient with him and let him be his pal. It really meant the world to me and Pierce. He cannot stop talking about when Cam comes to visit our house. He keeps saying, "Cam can fly here whenever he wants. He will be so excited that we have a Cow ice cream place here!"

Couldn't have asked for better..

How did I get so lucky? These are my awesome neighbors and friends from Syracuse. We had a girls night out before I left at Chilis. Good food, good conversation, and lots of laughs. I absolutely love all of these girls. I will miss them so much.

Pierce's Brush

Ever since Pierce has been little he has been obsessed with having a "brush" (mustache) Just like his Papa Russ. We went out to eat at Sconecutter with some friends before leaving Utah. I told the boys that if they were good and ate their lunch they could choose a toy out of the machines. This is what Pierce chose. I laughed so hard. It was even more perfect because it actually kinda matched his hair!
What do you think.. do they look alike?

The Squeakwel

Before we left SLC, my mom and I took the boys to a movie. They absolutely love the Chipmunks. It was a fun time and they enjoyed every minute.

Life on the move

So it has been a while since I last updated my blog. We finally made the long awaited move to Baltimore. We are trying to still get settled. In fact we have yet to stay at our new house. Trent's parents are taking good care of us, His mom even said, "I think someone is a little to comfortable in his mommy's basement!" It is true they have been awesome. Plus I think we are both hoping a magical fairy is going to go over and unpack our boxes!
As some of you may know the moving day didn't go as well as planned! I am so grateful for the awesome neighbors and family that were there to help! Little did I know I needed an attorney present to get things rolling! I hung around the Reeses' house all day and they accommodated my every need! I will truly miss living in such an awesome neighborhood. It felt like one big family. Also my sweet mom stayed back at my house to deal with the RUDE movers, so I didn't have a anxiety attack! Plus I didn't want to show my face after chewing him out! Thanks.
The flight here was pretty uneventful. Brock slept like 4 hours of the 41/2 hour flight! It was heavenly! Pierce was content playing his Leapster, watching movies and playing Hungry, Hungry, Hippos! In fact that was the only eventful thing that happened, a man in front of us didn't approve of us playing that game and yelled at us! I let him have it too! Really my kids were being amazing, and he needed to keep his mouth shut! Do you really expect kids to be dead silent? Get a life!
Since we have been here it has been great. I have been trying to keep busy and upbeat. We went to our new ward and the people seemed nice. Overall the people here have seemed pretty friendly! Our house is small and humble. It will do. I will post pictures of our adventures just as soon as we unpack that computer.
