Take me out to the ball game

Last night we went to the Salt Lake Bees game. Last year we pretty much went every Monday for family night, but this was our first time this year! The boys had a really fun time and Pierce kept dancing away every time music came on. He is just crazy and is starting to come up with his own little moves. I really need to get him into a dance class. Anyways Papa took the boys to ride on the train and they loved it. We got Snowies and just had a blast. The only bad thing was getting home so late and then just our luck the freeway was closed. Can I tell you how excited I will be to not have any more construction... yeah right like that is even an option in UTAH!

Lagoon a Beach

This last week we finally made it over to Lagoon a Beach. It was finally warm enough to go. It seriously jumped from like 60 degrees to 90 degrees within a matter of days. There was no in between. This is crazy! My mom came with us and brought Tyden with her. The boys had a really good time together. Pierce was a little shy in the beginning but after a while he was cruising down the slides just like Tyden. He was so proud of himself that after each time he went down, he would do a little celebration dance at the bottom of the slide. This is normally okay but not at the end of a water slide. I think that he missed getting hit by other kids at least a hundred times. It was cute to see his excitement. I was a really bad mom though and forgot to take any pictures of cute little Brockie. He was just so chill. He LOVES the water! He is such a little brown baby it is so cute.
This is Pierce after we got home Pierce was so exhausted that he literally fell asleep on our living room floor. I left the room to give Brock a bath and I was yelling for Pierce to come join him but he wasn't coming I was like what is his deal because he usually comes a running when I say that it is bath time. This is what I found when I came back. So cute. We really wore him out I guess.

I have been slacking off!

Okay I am starting to feel really guilty. I haven't written on my blog for quite sometime. I feel like a part of my life is missing.. HAHAHAHA anyways not much has been going on around here at the Belliston house apart from me wanting to PULL my hair out just about every single day. I am not sure what is going on if it is early onset menopause or what but I have been going crazy. I think my kids are starting to notice and Trent is getting really sick of my crabbiness.
Last night we finally attempted to put little Brockie in the crib for the first time.. a little pathetic I know he is almost a year old. You'd think I would have learned my lesson with Pierce but NOPE! And yes he had an awful night so when Brockie has an awful night so do I! We'll see if we ever accomplish it! This week he has finally started showing some interest in crawling and I am excited because then maybe, just maybe I won't have to hold him quite as much! I predict by the end of this week he will be mobile?
Pierce is super excited for the summertime and is always trying to plan our evenings. He loves to go outside and play with his buddies and every time he sees them outside he begs to go out until I let him.
The weather is finally starting to heat up and we are really excited to go swimming. It shall be a fun time! Lagoon-a-Beach here we come... watch out for my whitey legs!

Seaport Village

Monday:

Today we got to spend the entire day with Uncle Cory. We were really excited. We had plans to go to down town San Diego and see the Pirate ships and Seaport village. Pierce has been really into Pirates lately, so he was stoked! The ships were really neat and there was lots of really cool pelicans around diving and getting fish, they were fun to watch. It was really windy this day. As we walked along the village there was so much to see. They had ponds with ducks and there was a guy there that had rescued parrots, Pierce was in heaven he and Trent got to hold one. He will tell you, "mine was a baby parrot it was green and on my arm, Daddy had a HUGE red one on his shoulder... the parrot says Polly wanna cracker!" I just love the way he says that! It is so cute. We found him a cute pirate shirt that says San Diego, when we saw it we knew it was the perfect souvenir. We had dinner there at Anthony's fish grotto we told pierce that it was yummy chicken and he loved it. I had a hamburger.. not much of a fish person, except for when my dad makes yummy fish and chips!
Then we were on a mission to go to La Jolla shores where the seals come up on the beach. Cory and Cali finally found out where we were headed to and it ended up being pretty cool to see them so close. I absolutely love the picture of me and Pierce there. We finished the night of with yet another chocolate shake from In and Out... I can actually hear myself getting fatter!

DisneyLand

Tuesday:

This morning we woke up and had to drive about 1 hour to get to Disneyland. We had a good time on the drive there. We went with our friends Miles, Amy, Ava, and Dylan. The moment we got there Miles said that we had to stop and enjoy one of their wonderful corn dogs so we did and I have to say that they were pretty good. The park was actually pretty busy, we thought we would miss some of the crowds going on a Tuesday...nope! We rode the Buzz Lightyear ride first, what a fun ride. Pierce was a little leery in the beginning but loved it and it was so fun for the adults too. We then went and rode pirates of the Caribbean and the haunted mansion. Pierce looked as if he was going to poop his pants in both rides. They both are a little dark and we thought for sure that he would have some major nightmares. We then went over to ride on Winnie the Pooh and so many other rides to name. Pierce had a really fun time in Toon Town going through all the characters houses. His favorite was Goofy's. Trent and I got to ride two adult rides Indiana Jones and Space Mountain. We finished the day off at Disneyland with the Finding Nemo Ride... Really cute ride! Off we went to go enjoy a late lunch at In and out! Yummy. Brock absolutely loves their chocolate shakes, I think he pounded an entire one on his own. Must run in the blood.
Later that night we hit up a mall we met Cory there but we only stayed for like 30 min. It was good to see him. Both my boys just love their uncle Cory!

California

Wednesday:

We woke up this morning and packed up all of our stuff to move to our hotel room in Rancho Bernardo. Thank you so much Miles and Amy for letting us shack up with you guys for a few days! Thanks also to my wonderful Friend Amy who works for Marriott so we got to enjoy a beautiful Hotel. The area where we stayed was so nice. Trent and I kept commenting on how pretty the area was and Trent kept saying, "I could live here!" Don't get any ideas, we won't be moving don't worry!
After that was done we made our journey to Sea World for a day of Fun! Pierce was really excited because my Dad has been pumping him up about Shamu for a good month because my Dad recently went there. He brought Pierce back a stuffed Shamu and the kid has smothered the poor thing having to sleep with it every night. Anyways we made our way back to the sea lion show and watched that. It was entirely too cheesy and Pierce wasn't feeling it! Brock has been such a trooper this entire trip he just has been chilling in the stroller which is entirely FOREIGN for him. If he's not being held you can pretty much count on him crying. My neighbors can attest to that! Anyways then over to the shark tank which I was for certain Pierce would be scared but no he loved it! He was so excited about the barracuda and kept asking, " is this the barracuda that ate Nemos mama?" So traumatizing! We then hit the Shamu Show. Can I just say that was amazing. I have to admit that I was probably way more excited than anyone to go to Sea World I have been dying to go. The tricks that they can teach those huge animals is so cool. Pierce enjoyed it and Brockie was once again great! At this point I am thinking, "wow my kids are being so well behaved for not having any naps." There I go thinking too much again. It was almost simultaneously that they began acting up. Pierce was hungry but we were so dead set on making the next dolphin show. We are so stupid! We should have listened to our instinct and stopped and ate.... because MELT DOWNS BEGIN!! Trent ends up going to try and get us food, Pierce starts trying to run away I have both kids and I have had it. I finally get Pierce back in the stroller, but not before he is screaming BLOODY MURDER and I am certain every eye in Sea World is staring at me! I am trying my darndest to refrain from spanking the kid! Anyways no luck for Trent getting us food he attempts another line at this point I had let Pierce back out he was being better, so I thought. He makes ANOTHER RUN FOR IT, I am following behind screaming for him to stop right now. Luckily some nice lady saw me obviously struggling to keep it together and helped me catch the kid. Of course when Trent returns Pierce is a perfect angel and Trent thinks I am on Crack when I tell him that He was being a stinker! This was a painful Trip! We pulled ourselves back together and managed to enjoy the rest of our time there. The best part of the day was when we got to touch the dolphins. Pierce was in heaven and it was suck a cool experience.
After this wonderful time at Sea World we had even more fun to begin. We had a Padres game tonight with Cory and Cali. We had so much fun and we turned in early. Our kids were pooped!

CALIFORNIA

THURSDAY:

So this morning we woke up for the first time in our hotel room. I am not sure what it is but both my kids are sleeping so good this trip. I am totally enjoying that, sleeping in until 8 is like a heaven sent blessing! We decided to go out to breakfast to Denny's. It was a wonderful breakfast and the food was excellent. We had a afternoon Padres game with our friends Miles and Amy Romney (Dylan and Ava too) What a fun time we had there. On the way over to the game our boys fell asleep. Pierce had an accident in his pants and so if you are wondering in the pictures why he has no pants on at the ball game that is why! Luckily they dried out quickly. It is such a fun place for kids. Pierce enjoyed playing on the playground again and they had 2 of the Petco mascots out meeting the kids. Pierce was all over that! He practically wouldn't leave the poor characters alone! We had some yummy ice cream.
After the game we went back to our hotel with our Friends and took a little dip in the pool. It was a little bit chilly but we couldn't resist a pool.
Miles and Amy took us to one of their favorite places to eat called the Soup Plantation the food was yummy and probably the only thing healthy we ate our entire trip. Thanks for looking out for us guys! We should have called it the POOP Plantation... Brockie had been letting some stinking gas the entire time. I was holding him and put my hand on his bum when I realized he had a blow out. I asked Trent to get me a wipe so I could get it off my hand. When I realized that it was all over my chair as well. I tried to escape as soon as possible and Trent stayed behind to clean up. I noticed as I got outside that I also had it all over me. Yummy! So My cute husband had to go back into the restaurant to get some garbage bags for me to sit on while in the minivan! SICK! Needless to say we headed straight back to the hotel!

CALIFORNIA

FRIDAY:

Today was a fun day we got up and Trent dropped me and Pierce off at Sea world for a day of fun with just us! Pierce was so excited to go to Sea World again. We made it just in time to get to see the Dolphins being fed again. Pierce loved this! He has been talking about it non stop. We then headed over to see the shark tanks Pierce's other favorite venue in Sea world he absolutely fell in LOVE with the BARRACUDA. He thinks it is so cool for some reason and they have cute little baby sharks in there too. I can't imagine seeing one of those HUGE sharks in open water. As we walked out they were having a Flamingo parade and the flamingos were walking down the open path. One came right up to Pierce and just about tackled him. He was excited none the less. We also got to see the Penguins, Pierce loves the movie Happy Feet, so this was right up his alley. The exhibit is so much like the exhibit in the movie. Pierce kept yelling at the penguins to do a dance, when they wouldn't he turned to me and said, "something must be wrong with them, maybe they need new batteries!" The solution to everything is it needs new batteries ... if life were only that simple right! We then went to see the sting rays Pierce was fascinated by them and wouldn't stop touching them. He loves animals. He kept saying," they are slimy!" So cute to see him having so much fun!
While we were at Sea world Trent went and picked up his sister Kayla at the airport she was flying in to spend some time with Cory. We then headed off to In and Out for lunch. I am pretty sure I couldn't get sick of this place. Their food is GREAT! We then headed to CORONADO island where we finally hit the beach. Trent and Pierce went out and splashed in the water. It was a titch cold and windy but Pierce had fun finding sea shells and reminding us that we "forgot to bring his shovels". We loved soaking up the sun and Brock absolutely loved the sand in fact I think he ingested quite a bit. I am still cleaning it our of his ears.
We finished the night off with dinner at California Pizza kitchen... YUM! We met Cory and his Chica, Cali there. We had to wait for an eternity but the food was good. We needed to get home and get some rest so the night was done!

Our Family Vacation to California....

Saturday:

So today was a very sad day. It is starting to set in this this is are last day here. So long to beautiful California. I think that my children are ready and so are Trent and I. A whole week with no naps is starting to show. This morning Trent went to Costco to get us some muffins and Breakfast. He came with some yummy juice and these huge muffins and also the BIGGEST raspberries I think I have ever seen in my life and they were delicious! We are all packed and ready to go. I think Trent is a little sad about leaving our Minivan here, he fell in love with it and it is inevitable that we will probably be getting one soon. I am just not sure I am ready to take that step. Anyways, we have to get to the airport and time is running out we jam everything in and head that way. we get there pretty early surprisingly. Only to find out that there had been a security breach so they had to evacuate the entire airport and make people go through security all over again. What does this mean you are asking? Well an extremely long line that ends up taking us 3 HOURS to get though security. TRY THAT WITH 2 KIDS THAT HAVEN"T NAPPED IN A WEEK!!!!!  We made it safely. Thank goodness for Jet Blues t.v.'s that they have on board, cartoon network was a life saver!
