Cute girl

Jaida is getting so big lately. Seems like she is growing like a weed. Her personality is blossoming and we can't seem to get enough of her!

The boys love to climb in her crib when she wakes up from her naps and have "snuggle time" with her! I think it is pretty cute! They love her so much and are always protecting her! I am so lucky to have these cute kids in my life!

Fall Changes

Fall is in the air... the cool crisp breeze is upon us! This is a tree right out from our house here and I love it! Just thought I would share! If it is one thing Maryland has it would be plenty of trees. In the spring and fall the colors are pretty spectacular!

More visitors

The Boys have been anticipating the arrival of their cousins for a while now! They had it all planned out what they wanted to do with them. Go to the aquarium and have lots of sleep overs! They fulfilled both wishes and many more! Thanks Brax, Berks, Sid and Wit for being amazing cousins and allowing my kids to hang out with you despite the big difference in ages! They had the best time together playing and laughing! We are so glad that they came out here to visit and let us join in on their fun!

Visitors

On Sunday October 26, 2010 we had some visitors that drove in from Utah! We were Sure excited to see them! They were on a road trip and stopped in to see us and we were so glad they did! This is my Grandpa Dean and Grandma Colleen!

I just love them and so glad they came to see us. They also had my Uncle Jarrod with them but I didn't get a picture of him.. sorry!

Pierce Riley, I love you

I wanted to write this down for him to read some time later in his life.
Today I had my very first Parent/teacher meeting for Pierce. I must say I was a little nervous... You never know what 5 year old tells their teachers. I must say I was pleasantly surprised today! His teacher really couldn't have said it better. She told me today that Pierce is a pure joy to have in their class. He is someone that the other kids all look up to. He is an adult stuck in a little body she said. He has a unique characteristic that she doesn't see often enough, that being compassion. She said he is always making sure everyone else is comfortable and included. He socializes with everyone and tries to be friends with all the kids. She said he is very in tune with others and their feelings. When they have circle time they have the opportunity to open up and share their feelings and such. She said that he always want to talk about his family. She said he always brings up his Papa and Gramsie that are on a mission. (I was a little nervous when I heard that. It is a Presbyterian church and of course I didn't want to cause any ripples!) She said that he says that they are out serving Jesus and teaching the TRUE gospel. What a sweet, innocent boy he is! She said she wanted to let me know that she is really impressed with him and his knowledge of religious things. She said that when they talk about the Bible stories that he knows them and often answers the questions and tries to help the other kids understand. She said that she admires the way that we are rearing our children in righteousness and instilling our religious beliefs in him. Come to find out she went and toured our new church building and met President Belliston, but just recently put the 2 together that it was Pierce's Missionary Papa!
I have been really impressed with his preschool so far and it has been great for Pierce in many ways! It was great to hear from another person that we as parents are doing something good! I hope that he continues to be so sweet and open with others and sharing his testimony of Jesus! It is no wonder we are told to be more like children. Patient, kind, loving, understanding, compassionate and innocent. I love you Pierce.

Kids say the funniest

So here are a few stories that involve Brock.

The other day I overheard the boys as they were playing together. Brock was getting frustrated with something that Pierce was doing. He has a pretty short fuse. This what I heard:
Brock: Pierce you are an idiot!
Pierce: That wasn't very nice.
(a pause for a few minutes)
Brock: I am Sorry I called you an idiot Pierce, But you are!

Just when you think it was setting in he chimes in...But you are!

The same day they were playing and once again Brock was getting mad at Pierce. This is what I heard:
Brock: Fine I am running away and never coming back!
Pierce: alright see ya later dude!
(Brock then busts out into tears!)
Pierce: What is a matter Brock?
Brock: Aren't you even going to miss me?

Cute!

Then the next day I was upstairs pumping and Brock came up and said to me,"Mom I am real sorry but I cracked an egg!" I said, "it is OK buddy, I will come down and clean it up as soon as I am done."
Well as soon as I finished I went down and to my horror I found Brock in the kitchen with cracked eggs all over the floor. The shells were broken into about a million pieces. And he was painting egg yolks and whites all over my wall, oven, fridge, his clothes, etc... you get the picture! I said ( Yes I was so mad at this point), "Brock what were you thinking?" He said, "Well, I was trying to see if there were dinosaurs inside!" Then I couldn't help but laugh! PUNK! My house still smells of rotten egg!

Last Trip to the Beach for the year

On September 25, 2010 We took our last trip out to the beach for the year. The kids absolutely love going there. This day was a no brainer since it was going to be 90 degrees outside!

Brock was a little more daring this time and would actually play in the waves rather than run from them!

They would sit in the water and when the waves came in they would spin them around...they would laugh hysterically!
Jaida and I just relaxed back on the sand. We had a pretty nice set up. A cooler full of drinks and treats and a umbrella! She looked so cute in her new swim suit.

Until Next year beach!
