Mommy and me Breakfast and a play!

Today was a very special morning. I got to go with my little Lumpy to preschool today for breakfast and then to a play. We were served (it was super cute he even served me the food) blueberry muffins, juice and fruit. He made me a really sweet card that cracked me up when I read it, " Happy Mother's Day! I love you because you make us nice cookies and you play with me. You do my laundry too!" I guess I should be grateful that he appreciates the simple things and at least he notices that I do his laundry. Made me laugh.
After our breakfast we went and saw a play at Toby's Dinner Theatre. They put on Peter Rabbit. He was super cute the whole time we were together. I love this age. He held my hand, opened the door for me and sat next to me the whole time. This will be a day that I remember and Cherish always. I love you Brock Thomas.

*side note: Today I dressed him up really nice for our special date and we even did his hair, he was not happy about that. When he got to school his teacher said, "Wow, Brock you look really handsome today. Would you like to go out on a date with me?" He looked at her kinda funny and said back, " Um probably not because you are TOO OLD for me!" hahahaha, his teacher has a pretty good personality and laughed really hard. ( To his credit she is pretty old!!)

Hopscotch

Okay, as a kid I LOVED to play hopscotch and I did almost every recess. The kids in our neighborhood had never heard of it.. WHAT?? I have made it my goal to teach every single one of them the fine art of Hopscotchery! Tonight we busted out the chalk and got busy on lesson number one!
Both boys liked it and were giggling as they hopped and skipped! I know you are all dying to see a picture of me doing it, sorry not going to happen. While we were out enjoying the nice day I noticed how fabulous our Azalea bushes were looking and just couldn't resist taking some pictures of my kids in front of them!
"Mom why are you taking pictures of me?" I love this little girl!
She heard a "tweet-tweet!" and got so excited. I am so glad I captured her face.. priceless.
I love her crooked little half smile. And check out those curls.

Pierce was most embarrassed that I made him stand in front of these bushes while all his friends were outside. "MOOOOMM, Why are you making me do this? Hurry up!"
Brock and his cute cheesy grin. He was more than willing to pose for me.
And later on he found a caterpillar and he told me that "its official name is a Lumpy-Willow Caterpillar!" Haha good name!

Brock's Trike-a-thon

For that last few weeks Brock has been preparing for this day! It has been something that he has looked forward to for quite some time. You see, about 3 months ago Brock and Pierce came to me and asked how they could help sick kids in the hospital. They brainstormed and had decided that they would have a lemonade stand as soon as it warmed up outside. I thought it was really cute. You can imagine the excitement from Brock the day he came home from preschool announcing that his school was going to have a Trike-a-thon for the children at St. Judes Children's Hospital. He said to me," Mom all I have to do is ride my bike super fast and I get money for it and then I get 2,000 kids out of the hospital. Mom, we have to help all of the sick kids!" Without skipping a beat he said, "Mom, can I borrow $1,000?" I said," what for?" He replied, "to get out all the kids in the hospital!!"
He decided he would set his goal for $100 (because to him that felt like a million dollars). I set up the page online praying that he would get a few donations, I never thought He would receive the attention that he did. Each morning first thing he would ask me to do was "log-in and see how much money I have for those kids!"
This little boy has one of the BIGGEST hearts and was so excited to see each day his numbers increasing.
Here he is on the big day with a little tongue action!

He had the biggest grin on his face the whole time he was riding. It was so cute. He had quite the cheering section. Me, my mom and even Trent came to support him on this fun day. We are grateful for all those who believed in little Lumpy and gave money and support to him on his most awesome day! His grand total donation was $371!!! As he rode his bike I couldn't help but get teary- eyed, it was definitely a proud mom moment! I am so proud of You Brock! I love you!
