Mama I colored for you....

This is the phrase I heard as I walked back into my room. I was a little nervous because I didn't know what he meant by colored. I knew that he was in my room watching some cartoons. I had slipped out just minutes before to go throw in a load of laundry. I knew that he hadn't been coloring before. I started to panic. I came in to find him colored with a pen, all over his hands and feet and even some on his pants. He looked up at me with his big brown eyes and said, " Mama do you like it?" How could you be mad at those eyes?
Today we went to lunch with my Granny and Butch. We went to Garcias. My Granny is so cute, she was so excited to go and called me early this morning to let me know that she had chosen Garcias. We had originally decided to go to dinner, but I think she was too excited to wait. Maybe not, but we had a really good time. Pierce said after we left, "can't your Granny and Butch come to our house and see us?". "Why did they have to go bye- bye?" it was a fun afternoon.
This week Trent has been gone in Malibu for work, I know rough life! So we have been trying to keep sane here at our house. Pierce and Brock cannot wait to be reunited with their Dad again and nor can I. We are flying out on Sunday to go to San Diego. I can hardly wait. I hope that the sun is shining down there. My family and friends have been keeping me company. We have had a very jam packed week to keep me from remembering that I am alone. I hate being alone, so thanks!

Where a kid can be a kid!

Pierce Ready to go, We had to make Tyson's card with me drawing a "StickyBot" on th front!
The whole gang, we had such a fun time!
Brockie boy!
Pierce's prize, a dino that Chomps!
Pierce and his buddy Tyson! Happy Birthday!
Today was the birthday party that Pierce has been looking forward to for a little over a week! He was so excited he could barely stand it. We got to go to Chuck E Cheese today to celebrate His buddy Tyson's birthday. We drove down with Jamie, Brandon, Isaac, and Maycee. Who knew you could pack that many kids into one van, especially when they are all in car seats! We had a good time driving there and It was nice to have Jamie to talk to on the way down. When we arrived they had the party all ready to go. They each got tokens galore. There was one game there that was giving 250 tickets each time you put in one token. So I think just about every kid there scored as far as the tickets! They each got to choose a fun prize from the counter. Blake and Amber, our neighbors (Tyson's parents), fed all of us. So nice! We had pizza and bread sticks and some really yummy cupcakes that were LOADED with super yummy frosting. Talk about sugar high!Chuck E came out and did a little birthday number for Tyson along with some girl. Jamie and I were laughing, could you imagine if that were your job... " I am the chuck E guy at Chuck E cheese... Funny, or better yet the girl who has to dance along side him". All the neighborhood boys had a fun time. It was cute to see the excitement that Pierce had. He loves being around other kids, it takes him a while to warm up but he talks about each one of them when we are home. He loves his friends! This is such a fun age for him. Thanks for a fun afternoon!

Crash and Burn

So I think I could possibly have the most klutzy 2 year old! He had a rough week he got a sliver on Tuesday night and it was so sad I had to hold him down while Trent extracted the sliver.. so now he is petrified of TWEEZERS. If he sees them he goes into Freak Mode! Then Yesterday he slammed his finger in our laundry room door. I thought he was dying by the way he was crying. He was so paranoid that I was going to have to get the tweezers as soon as he did it he yelled out" No Mama, don't clip it out with the tweezers!" Then Brock chimed in, I couldn't tell who was louder at that point. It was sad. Then last night while outside playing with all of his buddies in our circle he did a full on Pete Rose Slide on the asphalt. He was running around like a crazy man, tongue hanging out and loud high pitched witch scream in full force when he took this unfortunate slide! Poor kid looks like he has been though the war! I promise I don't abuse the kid!
This summer is going to be so much fun for Pierce. Our circle is always got kids playing outside. He looks out the window and says, " Mama the kids are out, my friends need to play with me!" We need to work on him learning to ride his bike. All the other kids can ride and Pierce doesn't yet, so he just chases behind him screaming AHHHHHH! Funny. I love going outside too it just lifts my spirit and I enjoy talking to adults every once in a while. I have been so lucky to have such fun neighbors who I feel genuinely care about me.
Brock has been Grouchy this week, what is new. He is finally starting to be nice again. My theory is that on Sunday in my primary class we had to stand up and say what we were going to try harder to do better for the week. I got up and said that I was going to try harder to be a nice mother, and be more patient. What was I thinking? So of course, those challenges have come my way and I am pretty sure I FAILED miserably! Anyways Brock is cutting his top teeth I will be so glad when the teething thing is over. Yuck!
I cannot wait for the weekend, well except for the fact that I have a half marathon tomorrow. Not good! But other than that I am excited to spend some time with my husband.

Wagoooon....

This last weekend we finally went and got our season passes to Lagoon, or WAGOOOOON as Pierce would say. He was super excited to go there and Trent and I were a little worried that he wouldn't even ride any of the rides. He is such a scaredy cat!  We were really surprised that he rode some rides, "all by myself". He keeps talking about the whales that he rode on. When we would get him on a ride he would look so worried and looked as if he was going to cry, and then about 3/4 of the ride he would start enjoying it... then the ride would end and we hear him yell, " Hey, I wanna do that again!" So we'd get him on the next ride and the same thing would happen. This summer is going to be loads of fun at Lagoon.
Getting these passes reminded me of when I was in Junior High and it was the cool thing to go to Lagoon and get season passes. I kept thinking of all the times me and my friend Amy would go and try to pick up guys. We'd ride that stupid sky ride over and over trying to strut our stuff. Man we thought we were cool. So I had to chuckle when I rode it with Pierce this last weekend as I watched some teenie bopper girls grinning and flirting as guys rode by them in attempt to try and get one of them to ride with them. So glad that I don't have to do that anymore!
Some other observations from this week, Brock and Pierce are starting to interact so cute now. I have always hoped that they would like each other and be best buddies. So it warms my heart to see them start to play together. Brock will do anything to get Pierce's attention. His favorite though is to SCREAM at the top of his lungs at Pierce .... Pierce thinks that is hilarious and he tries to top it with a SCREAM back. If any of you have heard Pierce scream it is ridiculous. It is the most shrill high pitched scream ever! So I have to endure through this screaming match and remember that they are bonding and having fun, even if it is killing my ears!
Pierce got invited to his first friends birthday party here in our new neighborhood and when he got the invitation he was so excited he carried it around all night and had to sleep with it. He is so excited for the party he can barely contain himself. He keeps asking when we are going. It is cute to see his excitement. He won't forget about it until we go, so I will be hearing about this party for a good week and a half or so.

Small Fry

What is up Yo! Pierce loves wearing this bandana and when he does he says " ARRR Matey" He thinks he is a pirate.
I thought this was cute..
This is a funny pic of Pierce riding his horse, check out the shoes he is wearing! So cute!

We had Brock's nine month doctors appointment this week and everything went well is is growing up so fast, I mean in age.. because they informed us that Brock is only in the 15th percentile for height and the 50th percentile for weight! He weighed 18 lbs. 8 oz. which seems big but when I went to put them into his book and compared them to Pierce he is the same size that Pierce was when he was 6 Months! Funny! It is so weird to have two kids that are sooo different. I know it happens all the time but I really couldn't believe it. We were just glad that he is healthy. Pierce is just the giant and well Brock could possibly be the Shetland Pony ( I put that in for my Dad, Love ya Dad!)
While we were at the doctors Pierce stayed and played at Grammy's house and had a blast, except for the part where Tyden fell and split his chin open. Poor little man was just trying to get a good laugh from Pierce. Pierce was so worried and when we were at the hospital and it was time for us to go he didn't want to go. His face was so concerned and he had to give Tyden loves before we left. When we got home he kept saying, " Mama, Tyden just got hurt, I need to help him. He is sooo sad!I need to help him." He had to call him later that night to check on him. Tyden was out of it but Pierce had to say Hi. The next morning he kept asking for him, and saying " mama is Tyden alright?" It is cute to see him care so much for his cousin. We hope that he feels better soon. Love ya Tyden!
