Allie Turned One

Yay! My sweet baby girl turned one! We were spoiled and Grammy got to come and spend her special day with her. I made this cake.. thinking it would be easy, it was, but didn't turn out quite like I had hoped. But it tasted super yummy! Allie loved it. We also had Mo and Steph and their kids over for cake and ice-cream.

Here are Allie's one year old stats:
22lbs 13oz (85%), and 80% for height. She also was diagnosed with bronchitis and a yeast infection! Not a fun time for this poor little girl. So breathing treatments until she is better. Plus she had to get 6 shots. :(

WE love you Allie

Comedy at its finest

As you can tell our girls loved their encounter with Santa this year! We loved this picture so much we decided to make it our Christmas card. The sad thing was is this is a pretty good depiction of our holidays this year. The boys were ecstatic and both girls were not so happy. The truth of the matter is that I know if I were in the picture I would've been crying too. This will go down as one of our hardest, trickiest and emotional Christmas's yet! But we made it through!

my favorite face

This girl can be quite the night owl. She likes to stay up and make Trent and I laugh our heads off. This is a face that she makes and it is by far my favorite. The best part is she sniffs really fast as she is making it. She is pretty hard to resist.

Mother of 6?

My next door neighbor got remarried and asked if I would watch her two older boys while she was on her honeymoon. The first morning we woke up and headed over to Mcdonalds for breakfast. The looks I was getting from other people was priceless. Had I been in Utah it would've been no big thing. I overheard a lady "whisper".. "WOW that's a lot of kids!" The kids had a great time together. The remainder of their stay at our house was full of fun and rough housing, oh and don't forget trapping the cat! We have loved having them as our neighbors and will miss them when they move.

Door to Door

Remember how I gave birth to the worlds smallest business man? I am talking about Brock. Ever since we started our nut business he was bound and determined to find a way that he could work for the company. Since he wasn't allowed to work at the actual booth, I decided one day to make him his very own door-to-door salesman kit. He started out a little rough and was turned down by the first 3 doors he knocked. He was feeling pretty bad. On the 4th door he sold something finally! He was so excited and his confidence increased ten fold. the next time he got turned down he fired back with, "Well that's your loss!!" I heard bits and pieces of his sales lingo. He didn't want people to see I was with him because he wanted to look professional. He would say things like," I am learning to sell these because I am getting ready to take over the business." Ha ha This kid is incredible.
Later that night when I was on Facebook I saw that one of my neighbors had posted this on her page. Way to go Brock!

Brock and the neighbor

I was sitting a my computer, Brock was out back. I heard him in a pretty deep conversation, but wasn't sure who he was talking too. I opened the blinds to see this. The best part about the whole thing is that our neighbor was actually listening and conversing back to him. Made me happy and made Brock's whole day. They are quite the pals now. Such a cool kid.

Jaida's first family drawing

It is one of my favorite things when my kids pictures start actually looking like what they tell you they drew. Jaida drew our family and she did a great job. I love that little spunky girl.

Part of the team

For weeks our kids begged for shirts to match their Daddy. They finally arrived and they looked pretty dang cute. They all wore them with pride and were so excited to be a part of the team.

mmmm...mmm

Christmas was better this year because of these!!! Only having them around during Easter is so sad. I have a love for these like no other candy! They are my favorite.

Mornings with Mom

The boys' school has an annual Morning with mom where they have donuts and juice. The boys were sure excited about going with me to it. It won't be long before they start being embarrassed to have me around so I am taking advantage of little moments like this. We had a great time together and laughed our heads off. It was a great start to our day. I love my boys.

Brock's Laboratory

On the side of our house we have this dog run that we actually never use for our dog. Brock decided to turn it into his Lab. He made this sign and has devoted his afternoons to developing the antidote for the Hulk.

Goobs

This girl is so fun! She is always making us laugh and smile.
All of a sudden this girl has changed her alliances and likes her daddy ten times more than me. Hahaha I think is pretty dang cute. None of our other kids have ever been this bad when it comes to liking their daddy. Wow, its incredible if she hears his voice she is searching like a pack of wolves out for a kill. When he gets home from work she follows him around crying and whining until he holds her and plays with her and then the rest of the night she is glued to his side.

Best bread

The best part about my parents visiting from Utah?? Yes, when they bring this along with them. It was devoured in a short amount of time. It is little things like this that let you know that they love you. Especially when it was meant for my dad, but at the last minute my mom gave it to me... Hahaha! Somehow toast and sandwiches taste a million times better on this bread. Why do they not sell it in other states?

Allie 11 months

Hard to even believe that she is already eleven months old. This poor girl has been so sick this winter with cold after terrible cold. I have felt so bad for her, but guess what she handles it like a champ. Her personality is developing every day and I am so in love with her. She is my most curious and trouble making baby. (Well she is right up there with Brock, So yeah we are in trouble.) She lights up the room when she is around. She is crawling all over the place and getting into everything. Her favorites included kitchen drawers and stealing TV remotes.
