Just what I needed to hear

Sometimes your prayers are answered in pretty amazing ways. Like this day. Just a few nights before this I was called in my church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) to be the Young Women's President. I was feeling overwhelmed, under qualified, humbled, scared, emotional and defeated. I was pleading in my prayers. I thought "I can't do this". My life is so chaotic and crazy. I have 4 young kids who take a lot of energy. I don't think I am good enough for these girls. I really was feeling so many things. I cried. Then guess what. My friend shows up at my door with a treat that has this quote on it. I needed to hear this! I needed to feel ok. This helped. My Heavenly Father is aware of ME. He knows ME. He believes in ME. Thank you for being my angel and reminding me that I CAN DO HARD THINGS!

So sick

This poor thing has been so sick with the nastiest cold for 3 WEEKS!!! It has been so sad to watch. I feel so bad for her and just wish she would get better.

You know when she is crying in the bath she really isn't feeling good.
And when she wants to snuggle, because she hates to be snuggled!
Feel better soon sweet thing!

Just need to do a few things on the computer

I just needed to get a few things done on the computer. It should've taken all of five minutes.. but then both girls had to be held on my lap and make it completely impossible to get it done. It will have to wait I guess!

She makes me smile

Isn't she adorable. I love this cute girl of mine. She makes me smile and happy. I am so happy to be her mom. I feel lucky everyday that she is mine.

Brock's second tooth

Brock lost his second tooth. He was such a trooper. I mean look at the root on that thing! Ouch!
His new tooth was pushing out the back side so this one had to go to make some room. He was really wanting Daddy to take car of it, but he got me instead. As soon as it came out he felt so much better.

Lots of help

Now that Allie is mobile she is all sorts of helpful. Her favorite thing is to reorganize all the drawers for me. Her face in this picture is "uh-oh I got busted. She is pretty cute so we let it slide!

Oh Nutz

Did I mention that we started our own business in our spare time? hahaha we must be nuts right? Trent and his friend Mo started our cinnamon roasted nuts kiosk in the Fashion Fair Mall here in Fresno, CA. Our big opening day was November 5th. It was a crazy day, but it turned out great. My Dad flew in to help us and support our new venture. That was amazing, we couldn't have done it without him. This has been a lot of time and preparation in the making and it has been fun to see it become a reality.
People always ask:
Did Trent quite his REAL job? the answer is no!
What made you think of this? The truth is my uncle Matt started this business years ago. He has been very gracious to allow us to learn and grow from him. I grew up doing the nuts in Utah. To me it is more of a family tradition and it just doesn't seem like Christmas without them!
Are you guys crazy? Yup Pretty much!
So if you see me with a crazed look in the next few weeks to come you know why!

A day with Dad at the Zoo

We decided now that it has cooled down to spend our Saturday with Dad at the Zoo.Fun was had by all.

 Jaida loved the tortious.
They all liked digging in the dinosaur dig.

They got to pet the stingrays. We helped a lost girl find her mom.

Allie and I hung out together.
The petting zoo was a big hit.

This girl has the cutest crooked smile. I love it.

We all made it a great day. We love spending time with our daddy, he's the best!

Happy Halloween

Halloween was a lot of fun this year. Jaida dressed up as a green fairy (Tinkerbell). She had preschool at our house on Halloween. We played a lot of fun games and watched a Halloween movie, made homemade ice-cream and had a lot of treats.
Brock went as Captain America, but by the time I picked him up from school his costume was off. This kid isn't a big fan of wearing clothes so I wasn't surprised at all. Good thing I opted to have him wear a t-shirt and shorts underneath even though he insisted he would never want to take it off! Pierce wore his pirate costume to school because we bought him a ninja costume and they wouldn't allow it at school. He was a good trooper about it and got to wear it later at the trunk-or-treat and trick-or-treating.

Allie was our little pink fairy. Doesn't she look thrilled about the whole thing!
Here is just Brcok's loot from the night. Man, that kid turns everything into serious business and when he is focused on something he will make sure it is done right.
He was nice and shared with his baby sister. She fell in love with dum-dum suckers.

And for your entertainment here is some pictures from our carving madness we had. Our kids have No Personality, wink wink.

And apparently Brock felt like modeling this night.

Getting 4 kids to look at you and smile: definition of impossible.

So as you can see we had a great Halloween this year.
