Jazz Game

He loves his daddy!

What's up!
Feeling pretty sweet in his gear!

Last night Trent took Pierce on a little outing for some daddy time. Pierce has been really wanting to go to the Jazz game and mostly to see the bear! He talks about it all the time. Trent finally found some cheap tickets and decided to take him. Pierce was so excited. He rode down early with Jamie, my neighbor, to meet up with Trent. Trent took him over to Gateway to walk around and to find him some real Jazz gear! Pierce also had eating pizza on his agenda! Before they arrived at Gateway Pierce kept telling Trent how bad he had to go potty. Trent was hurrying as fast as he could. When he finally pulled over Pierce got out and Trent said the next thing he knew Pierce had his pants down and yelled, " hey Daddy I am going!" Trent turned around to see Pierce with his pants down peeing in the gutter at Gateway! Nice! I am sure that looked pretty white trash! Pretty funny though! Pierce talked his way into a hat and t-shirt.. Trent is a push over! Hahaha. Anyways they made it to the game... but Pierce was so disappointed that the Bear wasn't there. He got injured in a stunt and couldn't make it. Pretty much ruined the evening for Pierce! What are the chances that Trent finally takes him and the Bear is not there! Anyways it was a success and Pierce cannot stop talking about it!

A day with Cousins

Pierce.. trying to smile.. why is it so hard?
Tyden.. cute boy, getting so big and tells pretty funny stories! He wanted me to take his picture!

partners in crime! We may look cute.. but we are naughty!

The 2 buddies!

So this past week my brother had to work.. so he brought his kids over to have some fun with us! We played our hearts out. It was really fun for Pierce and Tyden... they had so much fun together pretending that they were fixing things. They were pretending that they were fixing cars, but cutest of all they kept saying that they were fixing Papa's Monster truck so they could go for a ride! Brock and Hadlee were like 2 pees in a pod they played well together and got along great because they both are so mischievous! They were getting in trouble together.. like partners in crime! We had a smorgasbord for lunch... pizza, macaroni and cheese, strawberries, and cookies!

Taking the morning off... yeah right!

So as you all know we have a lovely new puppy! Well she has pooped every single morning in the garage. Not only does she do that but she seems to have some sort of fascination with rolling in it! So it gets all over. Since we have had her she has had a bath everyday! It is a big pain to clean up! Well just imagine my amazement when I went into the garage one morning and she hadn't pooped! I was so thrilled. I took her for a walk and she actually pooped on the grass. I was so excited... the boys are still asleep in the morning when I take her out. So when I come back in the house.. with my grin from ear to ear. I hear Brockie awake. He is yelling, " mama I stinky I poopy!" I am like alright lets get this taken care of. Apparently Brock thought that I would miss out on not cleaning up poop in the morning so he decided to take off his perfectly clean diaper and poop all over in his crib and rub it all over the place. NICE! So much for my morning off! Thanks Brockie!

New Baby..

Introducing the newest member of our Family.. Gracie.. our new puppy. The other night when I was at work I called home to check on the boys and to my suprise.... I asked how the night was going and the response was," Great, we just bought a dog!" Nice! I couldn't believe it. I am so not ready for a dog.. I really truely just about lost it! After coming home I was okay with the "Idea" of having a dog.. but really I am just not a dog person.. Yet, I hope. She is a pretty good puppy so far so lets hope that keeps up. The boys love her to death. They are always petting her and loving on her. She handles it well. Brockie just keeps going around the house saying "gracie girl". Pierce named her that. He wants to take her everywhere with him!

This one is for the show..

Pierce lately is OBSESSED with Neyo. Every time we are in the car we have to listen to #5 Miss Independent on repeat! He knows the entire song and has informed me that I am not allowed to sing because he is Neyo not me! He also sings some of the lyrics pretty cute. In the song it says something like "she got her own thing, that's why I love her!" Pierce sings it" She got her LUMPY that's why I love her!". But now whenever he sees a black male he yells at the top of his lungs" Mama look it is Neyo!" He has embarrassed me a few times. The looks I have gotten from these men is like death! I have to remember that he is just 3!
Anyways, another funny story is, yesterday when we were at Ross doing some double discount shopping.. he found a hat that looked like the one Neyo is wearing in the picture above.. he put it on and started singing the song and doing actions. I am trying not to laugh and he then finishes and says" oh this hat will be great for the show!" I said "what show?" he says, " the one when I am Neyo!" I finally got him talked out of getting the hat! But had to write this one down for the memories. I love my Pierce!

Firehouse Fieldtrip

Today for Joyschool we went on a fieldtrip to our new Syracuse City fire station. Man those Fireman are living in the lap of luxury! Holy cow.. leather couches, big screen t.v., each one with their very own black leather Lazy Boy recliner, nice kitchen equipped with 3 fridges! Wow, better not tell Trent or he just might want to make a career change! Anyways the boys had an absolute fun time. The Fireman gave us a grand tour and we watched a movie, guarantee from the 80's, about fire safety.. it even had a jam from Little Ritchie! The boys attention span was about 3 seconds... so the guy had a good laugh because as soon as he would start talking about one thing the boys would ask about another thing! HAHAHA
I thought it was neat that the Truck had Pierce's name all over it!

Here is the whole gang of boys.. don't they all look so thrilled! (Cobey, Peyton, Zaylin, Isaac, Jarron, Pierce, and Tate)

Pierce lookin' all tough posing by his name on the fire truck!

Brock strutin' his stuff down the hall.. he pretty much thinks he is one of the guys!

Sunday Ducks

Last year we started going on Sundays to the duck pond at Weber State University. It was a way to get out of the house and help us from going nuts! So this past sunday we went over there to see and feed the ducks. The boys have a really fun time.. and as Pierce would say" I just love bugging the ducks!" Then we finished the night with a show and some popcorn!

Love you Jeremy..

Mark Jeremy Barker
Mark Jeremy Barker 4/23/1984 ~ 2/25/2009 SALT LAKE CITY- Our beloved angel, Jeremy Barker, was called home on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Jeremy was the noble son of Mayan Warriors and Utah Pioneers, one of Heavenly Father's choicest sons. He was very proud of his Chiapas, Mexico and Utah roots. Jeremy was just shy of his 25th birthday. His beautiful, magnificent spirit shone ever so brightly during his life. Despite the trials of this mortal existence, Jeremy was always a very positive person. His enthusiasm and spirituality were contagious. As a child, his siblings nicknamed him "The Prophet" because he was so well behaved and always chose the right and continued to do so until the end. Jeremy's life centered around his family and his faith. Jeremy served an honorable mission in Milan, Italy. He loved his mission and the Italian people. Being a husband to his lovely wife, Erica, and a father to his baby, Kiara Fé, were one of the greatest accomplishments of his life. He loved poetry, particularly his mother's poetry which he was translating into Italian. He fought cancer with dignity and grace. Near the end, when he knew his time on earth was short, he prepared himself most faithfully for the next stage in his eternal journey. Jeremy's parting wish of meeting President Thomas S. Monson was granted. He was able to receive a blessing by the hands of his dearly beloved prophet from which he drew great peace and comfort. Our family draws strength in the plan of salvation and knows that we will be together again. Jeremy, we miss you so much! You were one of those people that one thinks is too good to be true, but you were the real thing. Jeremy is survived by his wife, Erica, and his daughter, Kiara Fé, 1 of Salt Lake City, Utah; his parents Mark and Rhosby Barker of Salt Lake City, Utah; his brother, Jonathon Lee Barker (Emeli) and nephew Ezikel of Salt Lake City, Utah; his sister Rhosby Elizabeth Farfan (Alberto) and nephews Ruben and Ace Anthony of St. George, Utah; his grandparents Geremias Lopez and Rosvita Aquino of Salt Lake City, Utah; Sanford and Deanna Lee Barker of St. George, Utah. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the LDS Chapel at 1250 West 1400 South in Salt Lake City; a viewing will be held at 11 a.m. after which the Funeral Services will be held at the same location. Interment will be in the Murray Cemetery. A fund has been established at Zion's Bank in the name of Mark Jeremy Donation account # 368 3326 2 on behalf of his daughter. Condolences can be sent to jeremy.memories@gmail.com

This last week was kind of hectic. Seems like nothing right was happening. I have been trying to figure out how I was going to do my posting about him and the funeral... I just copied it right from the paper.. I thought the wording of his obituary was so great! He will be missed so much. He was such a strength to our family. Throughout his battle with cancer he never complained and made the best of his life. He truly lived life to the fullest. It was a really great service for him and the amount of people that showed up for his funeral really paid tribute to the great person he was. Jeremy is the type of person who wouldn't want us to be sad, but rather that we try to better ourselves and keep his loving legacy going forward. I know I want to be a better person because I knew him!
