Angel Babies

I got this in the mail the other day from Lorrie. It really meant a lot to me. It's hard for me to explain my feelings, and most the time the feelings I have don't really make sense. But it is nice to know that others care about me and remember that inside of me there will always be a part of me that aches.
I thought by now the ache would be better and there are days when it is. I'm grateful for that.

Sneak Attack

On Sunday Pierce was busy working on a project. I couldn't figure it out until I saw it from this view. When I asked him why he was creating 3D versions of our house and the Dockstader's house, he simply replied with " because when we need to plan sneak attacks on Jaida and Emma we need to have a plan!"
I love that they are such good friends and genuinely love each other's company. My kids are truly blessed with such amazing friends.

Sleeping in a Box

Yesterday Allie made this little box bed and she was so proud of herself. She begged to be able to sleep in it. Trent and I didn't have the heart to tell her no, so we let her. Trent snuck in later and snagged this photo. Isn't she the sweetest?

Lake Belliston

It has been raining for the last couple of days and this morning when we woke up the front of our house looked like a small lake.
I really appreciate this view off my front porch. It took a lot of hard work to make this view possible. I love this house. It truly is my happy place.

Twinners

Today we had Tyden and Hadlee over for some fun. I was braiding Jaida's hair and Hadlee asked if she could have her hair matching! Hadlee is such a good cousin and makes sure to include Jaida. It melts my momma/auntie heart.
The kids had a great time. We went to McDonald's for lunch and he look on the cashier's face was priceless when I ordered all that food!
The kids played Minecraft, monopoly, and even built a opossum trap out in the pasture.
It has been so wonderful having them close by so they could still maintain a good relationship with each other.

Cutie Pie

Tonight Allie got a birthday card in the mail from Uncle Brady and Aunt Sasha. In the card it had $10. She was so excited and kept saying over and over " I gots my first moneys!"
I love this sweet little girl so much. She is pure joy.

First Day of School 2015

Hard to believe that it is time to start another year of school. The boys will continue to be at Mickey Cox and Jaida is starting kindergarten at Bud Rank Elementary.

How can it be that Jaida is old enough to be a little kindergartner. It seems so crazy that she is old enough to go to school. She is so excited to start. Her teacher is Mrs. Leath.
Brock will be starting the 2nd grade. He is excited to start back up too. His teacher is Mrs. Hamm. We are excited because she is one of our favorite teachers.
Pierce is starting the 4th grade, his teacher this year is Mrs. Reynolds. He had her last year as well, but he is excited to have his friends in his class again.
First day was a success for this cutie pie. She loved every second of it and was even sad that it was "So short!"

sick buddy

Poor Pierce got sick with a yucky stomach bug. I had to be somewhere, so Trent offered to take him to work with him. He was well taken care of. Some lunch and videos with Dad. So grateful that Trent has the flexibility to do this. My kids are so lucky to have him for a Dad.

Maiden Voyage

You might ask yourself when seeing this picture... Why does it look like Mikelle is Hunched over?.. well let me tell you a little story about this first boat ride to see if everything worked. We get to the lake and put the boat in. No easy task with kids in tow and in a small boat none the less. we finally get aboard and head out. Only to realize that the motor wont really start, no worries we have a little trolling motor. We decide we aren't going to go very far from the docks in this case. We start out on our adventure and i turn around and look to see that water is coming in from a hole in the back of the boat! oh no! So this hole happens to be about the size of a finger. So I spent our whole ride bent over with my finger covering the hole. What we hoped would be a quick return to the dock turned out to be more of the challenge. The wind was blowing us the wrong direction and our motor kept shorting out. This will for sure be a memory we won't be forgetting.

Soccer chick

We signed Jaida up for Clovis Little Kickers. She has been waiting for a while to get to play soccer. doesn't she look extra cute all dressed up and read to go. She even wanted me to braid her hair. She is such a joy. I love her feisty little self. She makes life interesting. Love this Jaida love of mine.

Movie date with Dad

Brock was feeling pretty sweet when dad came home from work he took him out to the movies. They went and saw the movie, " Home" I love that Trent takes the time to make special occasions with the kids like this. These are the moments I hope our kids never forget with their dad.

Date Night

Trent took me out for a fun date night tonight. We went to the shooting range and shot our hearts out. I thought I wasn't going to like doing it at first, but once I got started I fell in love. My favorite to shoot was definitely the 9mm. This was one of my favorite date nights.

He loves his sister

Happiness is walking down the hall and hearing giggles coming from your kiddos and when you come on them realize that it is because your son is doing his little sister's hair. He was brushing it and telling her how beautiful she is. Melted this Mama's little heart. Brock loves Allie more than anything.

Sunday Roast

Our Friends have a cabin up by Shaver Lake. Today after church they invited us to come up and have dinner around the fire. It is so peaceful up there. It definitely puts you in a great mood to be in the outdoors. Our kids love every minute of it.  We had hotdogs and fruit and chips. It was a night that we won't forget. We look forward to another time up there.

Allie was all over that hotdog. She was felling like quite the big girl. She is so cute.

Firewood

Finally ordered a firewood rack. So me and the boys spent our Saturday morning filling it up with a bunch of wood that has been sitting all around our property. With all the clearing up of our yard we are doing we have plenty of firewood. It was fun working on this project with the boys.

Baby Chicks

Today was a very exciting day for us! WE finally got our baby chicks. Wahoo! Time to put that chicken coop to work. I cannot wait to get our first eggs. The kids are all so excited and have come up with all sorts of fun names for them. We have Happy feet, Ron, Lovey, Clark, Rainbow, and many more.

Allie has loved being able to watch and squeeze them to death.
I just started painting the coop. It is almost ready for them to call home. Now grow chickies grow.
