Allergy Testing

 Since we have moved to Clovis we have found a whole new level of allergies for Brock. We knew in Maryland that the main cause was the trees there. We decided that we needed to have him re-tested because he had this awful lingering, hacking cough. So we went in and he had 40 specimens that we tested him for. Turns out not only is he allergic to the 3 trees he was before, but now they added about 20 more trees that he is allergic to, They gave him an inhaler because the cough was so bad and they believed he was borderline asthmatic.

 He was pretty nervous for the appointment. So he wanted me to send this picture to Trent to tell him that he was being brave and that it wasn't as bad as he thought.

He got his awesome mustache as his prize! Yay for modern medicine! Since taking this inhaler he has been a whole new boy. No more cough= he can actually sleep!

Fun FHE

Hahaha.. that moment when your friends (all of heir children are grown) invite you over for FHE. You should know that it is going to be well... Entertaining! We start the night off with dinner. All is going pretty good. Until she passes out the Jell-o and Pierce stabs his spoon into it and flings it across the table (on accident-- of course ) and it lands in the ladies hair! Are you kidding me? Then not 5 minutes later he decides that instead of chewing his food he is going to shove his mouth full and swallow it all whole. Yup.. that's when I look over and realize he is in distress and choking. Trent gets over there just in time to do the Heimlich maneuver. Because by than Pierce hasn't caused enough of a scene he follows up by blurting the "f" word (Fart) in front of the couple and the lady gasps and makes note that she doesn't like the "f" word in her house.
We finally make it to the lesson portion of the evening and Brock didn't disappoint with his bjillion questions and insights.
We get to dessert and I guess Allie was feeling left out with everyone else stealing the spotlight so she decides that running headfirst into a chair corner is the way to be noticed! Screaming ensues and we can't leave fast enough. That was a very long drive back in the car. I felt like I was going to lose it. I was so embarrassed. The couple just laughed it off and was so kind!
I am pretty sure that we won't be going over there for a while! We gave them a small taste of our Belliston crazies!

Rare

One thing that is very rare with Allie is SNUGGLES! She has never been a baby that enjoys snuggling or even slowing down for a min for that matter. So when she pauses for a 5 minute break and climbs up into my lap, it is picture worthy. I love this sweet little thing.

She loves to vacuum

My little Allie loves to vacuum too. Every time I get my vacuum out to get some house work done I am followed around with this cute little thing. In my family our vacuum is a prized possession so it brings great joy to have a child that I have passed the OCDness onto. (wink, wink)

Stylin'

Jaida got some money from her Uncle Brady and Aunt Sasha for her birthday and it was burning a hole in her pocket! She knew exactly what she wanted and picked out this "Hello Kitty" shirt. It amazes me how much her style an sass is naturally embedded within her little self.

First Pinewood Derby

 The moment every Cub Scout waits for has come and gone. I will admit I was a complete Rookie when it came to creating these. The boys of course made it a little of a challenge when it came to decide on their designs. They both chose characters from Minecraft. Brock chose Li and Pierce Stampy Cat.

 We spent a whole day sanding and carving. another day painting and then we added the weights and wheels.

On the big race day we didn't do as well as hoped. darn! We definitely didn't win, but we had fun doing it together.

Cheese Ball

She thought she was pretty hilarious when she was pretending to do Pierce's homework. She would giggle every time she would wiggle the pencil around. She wants so badly to be big like her siblings.

Life lessons from Brock

Advice from Brock:
What you do is work out real hard and get a six pack. Then you show it off to the ladies and they'll be chasing you for days!

Jaida Turns 4!

 On March 15th, Jaida turned 4! We were really luky and got to have Grammy and Papa as well as Mia come and stay with us. These two girlies were two peas in a pod and loved doing everything together. they spent a lot of time in the pool laughing and splashing around. Getting both of them to look at the camera at the same time was a challenge!

 For her birthday we let her choose what she wanted to do. She chose to go to the mall and to Build-a-bear. She made a decked out bunny rabbit. It even sings to her! She chose to go get some pretzels of course!

 For her birthday she got a new bike, Rapunzel dress, new helmet, tennis racket, Barbie car, Ken and the puppies, another Barbie doll..etc.. Pretty much she was spoiled!

 We invited a few of her friends over for cake and ice cream. (I am a bad birthday planning mom!) So she had Aaliyah and Penny over! Happy Birthday my sweet baby girl. I sure do love having you.

 Mia was having a hard time falling asleep this night. She wanted to snuggle up with Uncle Tbird. He loved every minute of it and it took no time at all for her to fall fast asleep.

My dad

My dad was here for his birthday. We celebrated by going out to eat at BC's Pizza here in town. It was yummy food and fun had by all. We had cake and sang happy birthday too. It is so great to have them so close that they can make a short 4 hour drive and be here for fun times like this!
My dad is such an amazing person. He is the type of guy that would give his shirt off his back just to help someone else. He loves to laugh. I got that and his sense of humor from him. My dad has a great smile I have always loved that about him. He is kind and crazy. He loves to explore new things. He has an incredible testimony of Christ. He reads his scriptures regularly. I can remember as a young girl finding my dad in the front room always with his scriptures out. He is a great example of hard work. He always taught me to work hard and to do the job right. If you know my dad you know he is very creative and artistic and this comes out mostly in the kitchen, but give this guy an ice block and a chainsaw and be prepared to BE AMAZED.
I am so grateful for his example to me and that I always have known how much he loves me. I love you Dad!

Allie

 Goodness this girl makes me so very tired! She is always on the go and is into everything. I am telling you if I leave her unattended for seriously a second my house is in complete disarray! By the end of the day I am exhausted. She doesn't walk.. she runs! And boy is she fast. I think she was sent to me to be my weight loss plan.

But then there are moments like this that makes me realize how sweet she is and how much joy she brings to our family. She is 90 miles per hour and then all of a sudden a bundle of joyous cuddles. She still doesn't talk much but I know that she loves us. At the end of the day I am so lucky to be her mom.

New Duds

Jaida got this new tennis outfit and wanted me to take a picture to send to Trent at work so he could see her in it. She was pretty excited about it. There was a little bit of a battle at the store because she wanted to get a different outfit that was not modest at all. I had to explain as best as I could that we couldn't get that outfit for many reasons. I sure hope that we don't have to keep having these conversations over and over, because she is pretty strong willed.

I don't know who did it? hmm..

Jaida came into my room early in the morning and explained that something had happened to her pillow pet but didn't know who did it. I should have taken better pictures, but if you look really closely  you can see all the cotton stuck in her hair. Haha... it is still a mystery?

1920's theme

Trent got invited to a black-tie dinner event from work and the United Way. It was really fun to get dressed up together as a couple and have a date night. We had a great dinner and it was great adult conversation. I am so glad we were able to go. I love this picture of us!

Found her nose

Proud moment! She was pretty excited when she figured out her finger fit in there perfectly. The laughs and cheers from her brothers helped out too! She is the life of the party around these parts.

This doesn't end well

 Somehow Brock convinced Jaida to get into the box he tied tot he back of his scooter. She was pretty scared, but then agreed. The ride lasted about 5 seconds before she tumbled off sideways.

Coloring

 While Jaida and I were enjoying some coloring/drawing fun together we left Allie unattended for a few seconds and ....

 She decided to eat a tip off of a blue marker! She was in big trouble! Stinker!

My favorite time of the day

One of my favorite times of the day is after we get the kids down to bed and Trent and I get cozy in our bed and watch our shows. They are a range of a few different types of shows, but to be honest I could care less what we are watching.. it is the time that we spend together that counts. It reminds me on a daily basis why I love this man so much and how grateful that he is mine. Often times we stay up and laugh and joke with each other and I am so happy that we can share those moments. I love you Tbird.

What the heck

Sometimes you just let the laundry pile up and the housework wait and snuggle up on the couch with your little boy just for the heck of it. He is growing up too fast and soon he won't want me to do this. I am always grateful that I have Brock, he is my most snuggly kid. Even as a baby he just loved to snuggle on my lap. I hope he doesn't ever grow out of this.

love this girl of mine

Jaida is the sweetest love bug ever. She always knows when I really need a big hug. She has brought my life so much joy and teaches me to be better everyday. She is getting to the age where she is starting to say funny things and is making us laugh all the time. We were outside having a fun time in the backyard and she said, "Mom I am having so much fun my undies are sweating!"

Boy Notes

I love when you are having a hard day and feel like as a mom you are failing in so many ways and you go in your room to get to bed and you find this on your pillow. You gotta love getting notes from your boys.

He is a great brother

Most of the time Brock and Jaida argue... nonstop!! It is enough to drive some one crazy! So when you catch brief moments like this where they are actually getting along is priceless. He loves to brush her hair and style it in all kinds of crazy ways. She for he most part will sit there pretty still and let him do his thing. I hope that they can someday appreciate each other and become good buddies.
