1 month old-Allie

Allie's first month proved to be a challenge. If you haven't already figured it out, my babies don't like to do things the easy way. Luckily Allie really is such a good baby. After bringing Allie home we decided she was looking pretty jaundice and wasn't feeding very well. She wasn't waking up to eat and was so lethargic. After a visit to the pediatrician, it was decided that she actually had a pretty bad case of breast milk jaundice. So we actually had to put her on formula to help clear out the junk! I had never heard of such a thing. Plus her weight gain was nonexistent so this would help that too. So after about 3 weeks of doing that and pumping. She decided that she wasn't going to nurse anymore. So now I'm pumping for her and bottle feeding. It was a huge pain in the beginning, but now I realize how nice it is to have so many feeding helpers. She is eating like a champ now and gaining weight and she is the best sleeper. What more can you ask for?
