Independent

Lately with Brock he is all about "Doing it all by myself!" So when he decided that he was going to dress himself, I got my camera ready! This is the end result. Yes, shirt tucked into his underwear that is pulled up almost up to his armpits! He is lookin' pretty sweet!

My handsome little men

The boys all dressed up for church. Each week they want to look more and more like their dad for church. First it was the ties, then the pen in the front pocket. Last week it was the belt and now the suit.
I think they look like little stud muffins! I love their personalities these days and the things that are so important to them. They love their daddy! I hope they grow up to be just like him too!

Some day they will make great missionaries too!

Content

This is her mean face to scare away any brothers who even think about taking her toys from her! WATCH OUT! haha

My little Jaida lady is my most content baby yet. She is patient and okay to just play alone. She does enjoy having her brothers around too, as long as they don't break the barrier and get right in her face!
I love her so very much.

I like this picture because it really reminds me of pierce so much. Pierce used to have a bucket of toys that we would sit him by and he would sit and pull out the toys for hours. He loved it. Jaida is just like that and will sit and play with all the toys until they are all out and then you just have to go and fill it back up and she is good to go! Cute girl.

Kermin

Trent found this little guy on our front porch the other night. He caught it and brought it on in the house for the boys to see. He told the boys that we could name him Kermit, but I guess they heard him wrong because the next day the boys were out in the yard yelling for "Kermin"!
Pretty disgusting if you ask me, but the boys love him. Good thing they didn't put up too big of a stink to keep him.

He is very happy by our house, because I am sure there is plenty of bugs to go around! He has been hanging around in our front bushes. Welcome to the fam Kermin!

Jaida is 6 months now

Wow, time is flying by so fast. I cannot believe this little Jaidy Lady is already 6 months old. She is getting so chunky. She is constantly pulling off her oxygen on her face. She is getting more and more irritated by it everyday! I am not sure how that is going to work. She is sitting up now, in what Brockie called the gorilla sit. She looks like a tripod to me.
She weighed 15lbs. 15 oz. for her official weigh in (50% percentile) and she was 27 inches long ( 90% percentile) and her head was 75% percentile! Big head, long and lean! One of my favorite things that she does is raise her one eyebrow at ya when she wants something! She is laughing a lot now and loves to play peek-a-boo! Her hair is finally starting to grow back as well. It is really funny wirery hair that has some serious Afro volume! Pretty darn cute though!

Boys will be Boys

Sweet Pierce
Crazy Lumps

This is really how our days go. More like WWF wrestling all the time.

They can pretty much hold their own. It is funny to watch until it gets too intense! Love these little munchkins!

Lil Chef

This one is for you Papa Russ. Brock said he wanted to be a chef on this day. So I created little hats for them and put on their aprons. We made some Yummy Chocolate Chip cookies. This is one of our favorite things to do together!
They had a great time all dressed up and Brock told me that all he ever wants when he gets bigger is a big nice kitchen like Papa Russ'. I wouldn't mind one either, especially if it came with my dad too!Love ya Dad!

Football Friday

Football season is finally here. At least the boys are excited, for me it means Trent wanting to watch it non-stop and me retreating to my room to soak up Lifetime even more. Lets face it I am over powered by testosterone in my house. Trent has the boys chanting," college football, yeah, yeah, yeah!" On this particular night we packed up the troops and headed over to the high school and watched one of Trent's Priest quorum boys play.
The boys enjoyed running up and down the bleachers and of course the treats that Trent was suckered into buying. He will do just about anything when the boys give him their puppy dog eyes! Boy do they have him figured out! I am sure everyone else in the crowd couldn't wait for us to leave!
Trent trying to make sure Jaida enjoys sports as well. He is insistent that she will be a Tom-Boy and will love hanging with the guys. Fat chance, I will try to make sure she is on my side for sure. I will wait until she is a little older to show her the finer things such as chocolate, shopping, dance, etc.

My little Brock or Mr. Lumps as he often corrects me. He cracks me right up! The Oakland Mills Scorpions did us proud that night and completely bulldozed the other team. It was a blow out! We had fun chanting and cheering on our team!

Third Child Syndrome

Just in case you forgot that we had a third child here is an update on her. I am not sure why my computer keeps turning these pictures. You might just have a kink in your neck after you read this one.. sorry!
Jaida is getting so big these days and boy are my arms starting to feel it. Between her and all her gear, my biceps are going to be so toned. We took her in the other day to the Cardiologist and she weighed 15 lbs. 14 oz.! Pretty crazy!

Jaida is a growler. She is always yelling out her loud roaring growl. It sounds like she is upset, but she isn't, just trying to be heard! At our house you pretty much have to fight over time to speak, so she has figured that out atleast.

She has been going to physical therapy twice a week to help straighten out her neck and also encourage her to not be so lazy! She refuses to put any weight on her legs. I think she is just smart, why move when they will carry me around. I am not worried. She is far more advanced than my boys ever were. She rolls all over the place, front to back. She gets around if she wants to. Her favorite place to roll lately is over to Gracie's pillow. She likes to pet her and get licked. She gets so excited around her.
Her legs are going non-stop all the time, even at night. She has a little karate kid in her or something. I think she got her restless legs from my mom. All night long we hear them going. Maybe she will be a runner like my Grandpa Dean. You wouldn't know it though because her legs have some serious chunky rolls!
We are still trying to figure out who she looks like.. a mystery. Somedays we think she looks like Pierce, but sometimes I think she looks just like Trent's side of the family. Diane was holding her the other night and the resemblence was astounding. Other people she might look like are Brady's cute girls?
Her little blue eyes melt our heart everyday. She is PURE joy and an absolute delight in our home. Can't imagine life without her!
She loves to pull off her oxygen on her face, suck on it and blow bubbles. Pierce has taught her how to spit now and she thinks that is so funny. She loves Pierce! Brock still makes her a little nervous, but he is getting a lot better. She has figured out how to pull her leads to her apnea monitor on her chest as well and knows that the alarm will sound and I will come a running. I find her lead in hand and a big smile on her face as if she were to say, "I knew you would come!"
She love, love, Loves to eat baby food. I have yet to find anything she won't chow down. Even all the vegetables. So cute to watch her grow so much. Just love our little Jaida Bug. Forgive me for not posting as much about her.

Protecting his older Brother

This is one of those stories I don't want to forget:
A few weeks back I met a friend of mine at Chick-fil-A for lunch. I needed some mommy time to socialize and my kids needed to get out and be with other kids. We decided to go there because of the great combo of good food and a decent play land. While soaking up every moment of my adult conversation, I noticed from afar that a much bigger kid was being a bully to Pierce on the playground. After watching for a few minutes as my sensitive Pierce was just taking the beating and not sticking up for himself, my mama bear instincts finally kicked in and I told the kid to back off and keep his hands to himself. I was pretty nice about it, but after watching again as the boy continued to bully and choke my son I went in again and told him to keep his hands to himself. I also went over to his mother, who mind you was watching the whole thing and NOT DOING A DANG thing, and told her that her son was choking mine. She replied with a," Oh, I'm sorry about that!" Still not getting up to do anything. Frustrated and wanting to hit the kid myself. I told Pierce to come and sit by me for a minute. I left Brock in the play land. A few moments later I watched as Brock went over to the Big bully. I chuckled as I watched my barely 3ft., 30lb, three year old confront this kid, hands on his hips and all. I peeked in and This is what I heard:
Brock: Hey Doufus, You better leave my brother alone! I can beat you up!
Bully: Oh, ya go ahead and try!

Right then I watched as Brock climbed up on the slide, jumped off and karate kicked the kid right in the face! Of course the kid cried. I really couldn't help but laugh! I told Brock to come to me because it was time for us to go. While walking out the kid's mom was consoling her son. I simply walked by and wanted to YELL OUT: "Oh, Sorry about that!" hahaha.

I really was so proud of Brock. His is such a little guy, but has a huge personality. Although, I don't believe in fighting or being mean to other kids, I feel it is very important to be able to defend yourself when others are picking on you.
Brock absolutely adores Pierce. He is always calling him his best buddy. I am glad he was there to stick up for his brother!

Pierce's First day of Preschool Maryland Style

Pierce has been waiting and waiting for this day to come since we moved out here. He has been so excited about getting to go to school. He is my little social guy, so he NEEDS this time away! He woke up this morning and came into my room and said," I woke up extra early mom because I didn't want to be late on my first day!"
Here he is already to go. Brock wasn't thrilled with his "Best Buddy" leaving. For the first day they were only going for an hour and fifteen minutes, but that was too long for Brock and him to be apart. He was pretty cute, Brock said," good-bye Buddy" about ten times.

In front of his new school. He is going to Christ Memorial Preschool. It is a Presbyterian Church in the area. Their main focus is to teach the basics and also instill the love of God in the lives of the children. They base their teaching off of Bible stories. Quite different from the schools back in Utah, but a great experience for him.

The moment before I say Good-bye.. don't worry there were NO TEARS! We were both excited for this moment. His teacher is Mrs. Laske. I hear that she is great. He will be going 3 days a week. I am so excited for Pierce to get out and meet some friends! Way to go Pierce, you are amazing!

Pierce's 5th Birthday!

September 4, 2010 my Little P turned 5! I know, I cannot believe that he is already 5! Seems like it flew by! Pierce has had his Birthday planned forever. He has always been my party planner. We decided to let him do whatever he wanted for the day! In the morning he chose to go to McDonald's for breakfast. He loves to eat their Big Breakfast!

After Breakfast he wanted to go Tennis Racketing (play tennis)! Grammy, Jaida and I went home to get ready for the day while the boys went to play. They love playing tennis with Trent.

Funny boys! This park is just down the street from us and no one is ever there. It is like having the park to ourselves.

After they came back to get us. We were off to go play miniature golf. It was a lot of fun. Kinda hard to wrangle all the kids up and get them going, but in the end they had a great time. It took a while for them to understand that they only got one turn on each hole!

This was Pierce on one of the holes. He is such a perfectionist and always trying to do his VERY BEST! Golf is perfect for him. He is very serious about it.

It was pretty funny... because on this hole his ball went off the course and he was going into this large bush to hunt for his ball. We got a good laugh out of it.
The highlight of the golfing was Pierce got a Hole in One on hole #12! All by himself! He was so happy. It really was pretty cute and amazing!

Okay... just so you know I do not claim to be any type of cake decorator, but apparently Pierce thinks I am a professional or something. For about 2 months now he has been telling me what he wanted his cake to look like, and every time he talked about it it got more and more detailed. He wanted a cake that looked like the Dolphin Show at The National Aquarium. Are you kidding me? Well This is how it turned out. Kind of had some set backs but he didn't care and thought it was pretty much amazing! Maybe I need to sign up for some cake decorating classes before his next birthday!

After our golfing excursion we headed over to Brown Papa and Gramsies house for pizza, cake and ice cream. Here he is in front of all his loot. Man he got spoiled this year.
Trains, Iron Man, flying monkey, movie, puzzles and Grammy flying in from Utah just to name a few. Can't believe I didn't get any pictures of my mom or Brown Papa and Gramsie! This kid had more high tech toys then I have ever seen.

Make a wish... Hope they come true! Pierce had an awesome birthday! Glad everything he had planned could happen. I sure do love my Little P! He brings us so much joy. His smile is contagious as well as his laugh. He is the best big brother, always caring for his brother and sister. He is always there when you are having a bad day to try and cheer me up! He knows just what I need most days! He has forever changed my life and made me a better person. Life just wouldn't be as fun without Pierce. Love you bud!
