Scary Mama

So sometimes when I am feeling like I need something to pick me up I put some self tanner on my face at night. Well I did this last night before I went to bed and then slept with it on. This morning when Pierce woke up he peeked his head out from his bedroom door and I had just happened to be walking by in the hallway. He took one look at me and was terrified! He wouldn't come out of his room and said" Mama what happened?" I told him that I just had put tanning lotion on and he said,"you need to wash your face" He wouldn't come out until I did! I guess I do look kinda scary! I took some pictures so you can weigh in! HAHHAHAHAHa or more like AAAAAHHHHHHHHH ... I am scary!!!

We have had the crappy Flu at our house for the last week! Pierce had it first and then Brockie! It was so sad to see my little ones sick and boy am I tired of them being sick! The have been ultra whinny and clingy and It is so draining! I have not had a good night sleep yet... So I hope that is coming soon! Brock had some serious diarrhea! It was blowing out of every outfit and all over the place. Pierce's nose has been like Niagara Falls! We can't wait until things are back to normal! We will soon be out of quarantine mode! And I hope that none of you get this nasty Flu! It is horrible!
Brockie has learned to sit up by himself now! How exciting is that? I know he is SOOOOO behind for his age but oh well! He is so Lazy! He does enjoy his baths more now that he can sit up and splash around! Just in the last few days he has learned to throw tantrums by throwing his head back when he is mad and has resulted in a few crashes! He is so ready to move around but doesn't have the encouragement to do it yet! It is funny!

The weather is starting to get so nice out! I cannot wait for spring time! It cheers me up so much to see the sun out!Yahoo!

Pierce got a haircut and didn't cry ONE BIT! I gave him one 2 days ago and I told him that if he didn't cry I would make him a Happy Cake and it worked! We had our Happy Cake celebration last night and he was so excited to Blow the Fire! He didn't eat the cake though!
Now only if we could just get him potty trained! I have tried everything from prizes to parties and special undies! I am not sure what I am doing wrong but that kid would much rather poop and pee in a diaper or even in undies! I am open to suggestions!

First Haircut!

This was Pierces face when I asked him if he was ready for his hair cut! YEAH RIGHT! He HATES his hair being cut!

Well Brockie had his first Haircut yesterday and he was so well behaved.He didn't even make a peep. He was just so happy and smily! Quite a change from his brother who we practically have to wrestle to get his hair cut! It was a nice change. He looks so cute! We think that he looks even more like Curious George now!

Yesterday Trent had the day off from work and he got to spend the day with us! It was so nice and refreshing! The boys of course were excited and so much better behaved... making me look like a liar! Trent took me to lunch at this place called Plates and Palates in Bountiful and it was so yummy! It was great then we just might be rednecks because we spent the rest of our day at Smith and Edwards.... HAHAHAHA and we both said when we left that was alot of fun! For those of you who don't know what that is, it is a store that has just about anything in it! Just everywhere! Pierce thought it was fun looking around all over the place and they have a place where there are dime candies so we let Pierce pick out some candies! He thought that was a blast!

We came home and had our friends from Moscow, Idaho over for dinner... Brian and Kim Hart and their 3 kids. It was fun we had Pizza and chatted! They live in Bountiful now. I have to say their kids were so sweet! You know how Pierce is, a Tornado, and he was just throwing out all his toys and trashed his room! So after they left I went in his room to assess the damage and it was spotless, so cute... they had even taken the time to make the bed. I was so grateful and it was so unexpected! Thanks Hart Family!

Another week bites the DUST..

So this week went by way fast!I cannot believe it! We were trying to keep busy so that we didn't go insane. Can you believe that wicked storm that Salt Lake had! That was so unexpected! Me and the boys were down there that day and I had to drive home and felt like I was going to DIE! They didn't plow I-215 and it was scary! I was going like 25 miles per hour and all these yayhoos were passing me! AHHH !

On Tuesday my mom came up here to say hi and we went to Wendy's for lunch. While we were there I saw a neighbor of mine and her sister. They are both so cute! Anyways I was glad that they had left before this incident! We were peacefully eating our lunch when out of the corner of Pierce's eye he could see the mall out the window. He then exclaimed" I wanna go to the mall" I though it was cute but replied, "No we are going to the mall tomorrow." (wednesday is mall day) He then looked at me with a fury in his eye and took his hand and placed it over my mouth and yelled," Don't you tell me NO!!!" I had to try really hard to keep a straight face! But was super embarrassed that everyone in the entire restuarant heard it I am sure! Gotta love moments like that! After that we went to the new Ashley Home Store that just opened here. It is a cool store! I got my Barstools while we were there... I was so excited! I have had a hard time finding them! Atleast ones both Trent and I liked!

So on Wednesday we went to the Southtowne Mall! It was nice to get out and it felt like I hadn't been there in awhile. I was a little depressed because they took the Gap out of that mall and That was one of our favorite stops! Then I just hung out with my mom until the storm subsided enough for me to drive home- yeah right!

Thursday was Valentines day! It was a good day not much to report. Trent got me a new outfit. He is so good at shopping for me and pick out things that I probably would never pick out but they always turn out so cute! I don't know he is just an amazing shopper! He also got me my favorite Chocolate covered ALMONDS! Yum! Just what I needed! We had a quiet little dinner here at home then went for a drive and then went to get some Ice cream! Pierce was excited about that. He talked the entire night! Brock on the other hand Cried the entire night! He has been a little PLUGGED up if you know what I mean. Today he is on a strict diet of PRUNES! hahahahha Poor little guy!

Yahooo! Brockie rolled over for the first time yesterday! He is such a lazy guy this is a big milestone for him! He would rather lay than sit, play, move, or stand! It is funny. His legs are so fat I am not sure they could bare any weight! Cutie pie!

This past week was kind of a boring one here. I was feeling super sick and finally I decided to go to the doctor after I wasn't feeling any better after two days. I found out that I had a double ear infection! Ouchie! No wonder the kids screaming was really getting to me. When we got to the doctor Pierce was so cute and kept saying," I wanna hold you Mama". He was so concerned. He said to me while we were there, " Mama you not feeling good" I said,"No". He said " I make you feel better Mama" and gave me a kiss and then said" There you better now". It was one of those priceless moments!
We finally had a few nice days up here in Syracuse with no snow and the sun actually made an appearance. I have needed that for quite sometime!
Pierce has been just tearing our house to pieces as usual! It always looks like hurricane Pierce came though.I am serious I spend so much of my time cleaning and it gets destroyed in a matter of minutes! Sometiems I wonder why I even try. Pierce's personality is starting to change and I am getting quite scared! He is getting more and more mischievous everyday! He loves to test me and Trent! We are beside ourselves! We always had this vision of our children being well behaved, but reality is starting to set in! He is out of control.I feel like we might never get to go out with him in public again. He just causes chaos wherever we go! This must be some kind of payback for the type of children we were! Well for what Trent was I should say because I was always such an angel.... Just kidding. I think that Brock is my payback of a child. I was one of those babies that would only like my mom to hold me 24/7!!!
Brock is so demanding on my time. He is always wanting to be held and entertained. I think my parents spoiled this one too much! He will see one of us from across the room and literally scream at the top of his lungs at us, like he were saying" Get over here now!" It is getting ot the point where I am able to tune alot of it out though. It is funny though because I will be talking on the phone with my mom and she'll be like "oh Mikelle is that Brock crying?" And then it finally registers to me that he is fussing. HAHA I am a bad mom!I guess I am just so used to it!
So this week is Valentines. What to do? Any ideas on what to do to make it special when you have no hopes of going out with two rugrats? I gues we will find out. Valentines is kinda a funny holiday! Anyways I wish you all a happy one!

It is a new thing here at our house! We have been living in a fish bowl for the time that we have lived in our house our Shutters were on order but we were unaware that they took 6 weeks ! Believe me it is so nice to have them now! I can pick my nose in peace... not really, but if I did have the urge I could!I can't believe how different it feels! It is nice too because our back door neighbors just got a hot tub on theie back patio and everytime they were in it we could see them and felt a little awkward! They'd wave everytime we caught a glance that way! So I am sure they are relieved as well!

Well I am reporting that Brock didn't make his sleeping a habit! Oh well! What do you do! I might just have to be raging onery for the next few months! Hopefully it is just a few more months right!He is so spoiled it is ridiculous! He always has to be held. He screams at you until you pick him up! STINKER!

This snow is relentless! I cannot take it ANY MORE!

Sorry I am rambling on and on!

HE SLEEPS!

Yes you heard right! Brockie slept more than 2 hours at a time! Not much longer but it sure makes a difference. He slept from 11:30-3!!! Wahoo! I was so elated! I gave him an extra dose of baby food for the night and maybe that is the trick I will let you know tonight if it is the same! He is such a chunk I can't imagine that he is hungry! He is not sparing in any sense! In fact one of his nick names is Lumpy!
Last night we went to my parents house for our annual superbowl party! Lots of good eating and good company! We were sad because of the storm Ian and Lindsay couldn't make it down! We missed them and little Dax! I hope we get to see them soon! Maybe when all this snow quits coming. This morning we woke up to about four more inches here in Syracuse! And it hasn't stoppped snowing yet! Enough Already! Pretty much I will be stuck at home this week! BLAH!
Pierce was looking out the window this morning and said" HMM.. lets see who's comin to Pierce's house?" Then he answered his own question like this" Daddy comin to Pierces house, um no Grammy comin to Pierce's house, NOPE, Papa comin to Pierces' house, NOOOO Let's see who else... Ninny coming nope umm... Tam comin umm... noboy coming to Pierce's house!" SAD!!! It was so cute! He always wants people to come to our house he says because he wants to "shoopin the hoops" in his room! He is growing up and I am not sure I want him to anymore! He is at a funny stage except for the days when he is a TERRIBLE TWO year old!

Nocturnal!

Well I am beginning to think that Brock is Nocturnal... I am pretty sure he is as a matter of fact! He doesn't sleep at night and I think I am on the brink of loosing it, wait who are we kidding, I have already lost it! The poor kid just doesn't like to sleep! I am starting to wonder what I did to deserve this? This morning he was up at the crack of dawn (5:45am) ! And he just goes and goes! I never thought I would have to go through this again, Pierce was terrible so I thought I had paid my dues for sure! I am glad that the weekend is coming! Not that that means I will get rest but atleast Trent can be here for me to complain to!
Okay and Who else is SICK and TIRED of WINTER!!!! If it keeps snowing I am not sure what I am going to do! This morning we woke up to yet another 3 inches! I think we have plenty! And I watched the news and next week is just going to get worse! I am glad that we have such wonderfule neighbors who have taken such great care of us.. the Reeses! They are awesome whenever it snows you can count on Kevin to show up with his snowblower for us to use. He has saved us many hours of backpain! Our driveway is ridiculously too long and wide! It would take years for us to dig out of the mess! So thank you once again !
