In September, Trent and I got to runaway for a weekend trip. We dropped our kids off at Grammy and Papa Russ's house in Riverside. Of course on the way we couldn't help but make a little hill-billy pit stop at the Bass Pro Shop in Rancho Cucamonga. We were quite the entertainment for the other customer and employees there. Allie learned how to shake her head no on that day so as Trent and wandered around we sat and ate our hot dogs and nachos. The boys enjoyed asking Allie question after funny question for her to shake her head no to. After dropping the kiddos off Trent and I met up with our friends Amy and Aaron Roundy and Cory and Dee at the Padres game. I ate a super yummy hamburger and fries there. Amy hooked us up with an amazing room at the Marriott in La Jolla. We had the most amazing views.
Trent introduced me to the oatmeal at Jamba Juice. It is so amazing!! If you haven't tried it, you are missing out, but be prepared to crave it forever! Allie also learned how to suck out of a straw and enjoyed her first Jamba Juice.
We did some sight seeing at the San Diego temple. Such a beautiful place.
Here's some views off our huge balcony in our hotel room.
We walked along the La Jolla Shores. We enjoyed so much yummy food. We went back to the hotel, the men watched the BYU- Utah game and Amy and I snuck away and got some yummy grub. We had a great time together. Our kids had an amazing time with their grandparents.
The worst part of our whole trip was getting stuck in a dead stop traffic jam for over 3 hours. Ya, not cool. But it's safe to say it was worth it!
